She thrashed wildly, desperately trying to break free. Her eyes went wide with pure horror, unable to believe Juno would actually go through with it.

Rhiannon lunged forward to intervene, but before she could even open her mouth, Morgan's men dragged her to the side.

"Juno! You're taking this too far!" Rhiannon shrieked.

Juno completely ignored her. With the clippers buzzing in her hand, she went to work. Her movements were clinical and efficient. Within moments, Faye's scalp was completely stripped of hair.

Faye let out a bloodcurdling scream. "AHHH!!!"

Juno casually tossed the clippers onto the pile of ruined hair on the floor.

Morgan released his grip, motioning for his men, and they silently exited the restroom.

The second she was free, Rhiannon rushed over, throwing her arms around the hysterically sobbing Faye.

Juno bent down, picked up Claire's textbooks, and handed them back to her before leading her out the door.

She didn't spare a single glance for the shrieking, traumatized girl left behind in the stall.

The two of them headed straight to their next class. It wasn't until they took their seats that Claire finally spoke. "Do you think there's something wrong with me?"

Faye was technically her younger sister, yet when Juno went completely scorched-earth on her, Claire hadn't lifted a finger to stop it.

To an outsider, it probably made her look incredibly cold-blooded.

Juno didn't even look up from her iPad, entirely unbothered. "Growing up in a toxic household like that, choosing not to fight back just makes you a coward."

Everyone had a breaking point. Frankly, it was a miracle Claire hadn't snapped sooner. If someone had tried pulling that kind of stunt on Juno, shaving their head would have been a mercy.

Hearing Juno's nonchalant response, Claire let out a massive sigh of relief.

"I have a basketball game next week. Do you want to come watch?"

"I'll think about it."

Claire smiled. "Okay."

The coursework at Northbridge was demanding, meaning Juno had zero free time to meet up with Chuck outside of campus.
