The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 47

Caleb watched in absolute shock.

Was he seeing things?

Was Juno actually screaming at an elder?

He quickly rushed forward and grabbed Juno's arm, his words spilling out rapidly in an attempt to calm her. "Juno! Let it go!"

"Juno!!! You arrogant little brat! You just wait!"

Margie turned to storm out, but unexpectedly, Morgan—who hadn't moved an inch—suddenly raised his cane, aiming the tip directly at her eye.

Morgan's expression was unreadable, his voice eerily unpredictable. "I think it would be best if you apologized, Ma'am. Otherwise, I really can't guarantee whether the concealed blade in this cane might accidentally puncture your eyeball in the next second."

Margie froze in absolute terror. Her eyelashes fluttered wildly as she stood completely immobilized.

That was when Sebastian made a move.

He walked over, raised his hand, and pressed down firmly on the cane, forcing the tip away from Margie's face.

Morgan smoothly withdrew it, yielding to the pressure.

Standing next to Margie, Sebastian smiled with perfect composure. "I apologize on behalf of my aunt. She was speaking out of anger and said some deeply irrational things. Please don't take it to heart, Mr. Mercer. When we both have time, let's grab a drink together."

"Sure." Caleb's eyes darted around nervously. He didn't dare look Sebastian straight in the face.

This man radiated an unnerving, indescribable aura.

He knew, of course, that Sebastian's invitation was just empty politeness—a way to offer both sides a way out of the standoff.

Sebastian kept his polite smile. "May my aunt leave now?"

Just in case Juno hadn't heard him, he added, "Juno?"

Juno: "Do whatever you want."

Sebastian glanced at Morgan. The moment Juno had spoken, Morgan had already stepped back to make way.

This man's every movement oozed nobility. His clothes were incredibly expensive, and his looks were exceptional. He was a rare talent you'd struggle to find even in Kingsland.

And yet, he was intensely loyal to Juno.

Sebastian seamlessly masked his thoughts.

Clutching her bag, Margie disappeared from their sight in the blink of an eye.

Juno was just about to say something when Caleb lightly smacked her on the back of the head.

A dull thud echoed.

Clutching her head, Juno stood up straight with a completely deadpan expression.
