Rhiannon was in utter disbelief. She never expected Juno to dare lose her temper right in front of their mother.
Juno shot her a disdainful glare and headed upstairs on her own.
The floor was littered with shattered pieces of the phone. It was smashed to bits; there was clearly no salvaging it.
Gwendolyn was also startled. It wasn't until Juno left that she finally snapped out of it.
In her forty-plus years, no one had ever lost their temper in front of her like that. Juno's sudden outburst had made her heart skip a beat.
Rhiannon didn't fare much better. No one had ever been this insolent toward her before. The servants at home were always cautious, and outsiders wouldn't even dare to speak loudly, yet Juno showed up acting like an absolute brute.
Gwendolyn wasn't an unreasonable person. She looked back at Rhiannon, her eyes carrying a hint of disappointment, though her tone remained steady. "Rhiannon, bring a glass of milk up to Juno."
She was telling her to apologize.
Rhiannon was displeased but forced a smile anyway. "I understand. Don't worry, Mom."
Under Gwendolyn's watchful eye, Rhiannon went to the kitchen, warmed a glass of milk, and headed upstairs. She suppressed her frustration as she stood outside Juno's door.
She was practically grinding her teeth into dust. This room was originally supposed to be hers!
She knocked, but there was no response from inside.
"You've got some nerve, Juno. Pretending not to hear me when you obviously did."
Rhiannon simply pushed the door open and walked in. A fresh, pleasant scent immediately hit her.
Annoyed, she plopped the milk onto the desk, then swept her gaze across the room. Suddenly, a few design drafts caught her eye.
She instinctively checked her surroundings, confirming Juno wasn't there before reaching out for the sketches.
The designs on the paper instantly grabbed her attention. The luxurious style and unique flair were simply breathtaking. And this was without any color. Once colored in, it would undoubtedly look even more stunning.
