Rhiannon’s eyes reddened, her heart aching unbearably. How could Juno still act like this at a time like this?
Thinking about how her hard-won drafts had been peeked at, she suddenly lost all motivation to keep drawing.
Gwendolyn’s face grew cold. "Enough! Juno, apologize! No matter what, sneaking a look at Rhiannon's drafts is wrong! Regardless of how she draws, she put her heart into it. You looked at it, so who gave you the right to be so classless and criticize someone else's hard work?"
Juno narrowed her eyes, a dangerous aura instantly erupting. "I do things out in the open. I don't take the blame for things I didn't do. Who would waste their time peeking at trash? Garbage is garbage. Are you seriously protecting her like some fragile little greenhouse flower?"
Rhiannon snapped, "You did look! How would you know it's garbage if you didn't? Besides, the maid is standing right here, holding my draft! If you didn't ask her to bring it over, why is she standing here?!"
At this, the maid was just about to open her mouth, but Rhiannon interrupted her again. "Also, what right do you have to judge my work! The only person who has the authority to judge my designs and make me accept it is Jumer! Do you think you're Jumer? You're so arrogant!"
Jumer? Interesting. Juno didn't want to waste time with Rhiannon here and turned to walk out.
Unexpectedly, Rhiannon wouldn't let it go. She caught up in a few quick steps and grabbed Juno. "Where are you going?! You called my work garbage just a second ago, and now you're leaving because you can't even back it up?!"
A fleeting look of bloodlust and ruthlessness flashed across Juno's face. She immediately turned and effortlessly grabbed Rhiannon's slender neck, yanking the girl right in front of her until they were inches apart.
It was the first time Rhiannon had been hoisted up to face Juno like this. With a slight squeeze from Juno, she felt her feet leave the ground.
"Do you know what happened to the last person who threw a tantrum like this in front of me?"
Rhiannon was powerless to resist. Even breathing became difficult, and her face flushed crimson.
Juno leaned in slightly, her lips right by Rhiannon's ear, her voice bone-chilling. "They're buried six feet under."
