The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 10

She spoke with chilling nonchalance. No one could tell if she was supremely confident or just didn't care about the consequences. It was impossible to read her.

Gerda immediately objected. "Absolutely not, that's too embarrassing. If the Jaggers find out, they'll mock you relentlessly. Our family's reputation can't take a hit like that."

Juno smiled—a genuine, dangerous smile, the first one she had shown in days. "You don't think I can turn it around?"

"Of course I do, but—!"

"Then that's all that matters."

As Juno locked in her decision, Gerda could be heard grumbling under her breath. "Who the hell was running this division before? How did they tank it so badly?"

The advisor quickly tried to do damage control. "We have a hand in almost every industry, ma'am. We just aren't highly specialized in jewelry. Aside from that, our healthcare, hospitality, tourism, and dining sectors are exceptionally strong."

In those fields, they utterly dominated the Jaggers.

Gerda couldn't swallow the insult. "Juno! Crush them!"

Juno played along seamlessly. "You got it."

After finishing her meal, Juno stayed behind to keep Gerda company for a while before returning to the main estate.

The staff in the grand foyer were quietly going about their duties. A sudden gust of wind swept through an open window, scattering several sheets of paper off a side table and onto the floor. Panicking, a maid scrambled to gather them.

One of the loose sheets drifted perfectly to Juno's feet. She casually bent down and picked it up just as the maid reached her.

She only needed a single glance. It was a design draft. The linework was painfully amateur, desperately trying to emulate a specific, high-end style but failing miserably. It looked like an awkward, disjointed mess. Key structural details were entirely botched.

It was pure designer's instinct—she spotted every single flaw in less than a second.
