The Platonic Trap novel Chapter 94

After saying that, Ken didn't linger and turned to leave.

...

The CEO's office.

When Ken walked in, Alistair's phone call had already ended.

"Mr. Zucker, the instructions have been distributed. The revisions will be completed tonight," Ken reported succinctly.

Alistair hummed in acknowledgment, his voice no longer as oppressive as before. "I'll dine at the Aerie Manor tonight."

Ken was taken aback for a moment before snapping back to reality and nodding. "Understood, Mr. Zucker."

--

That night, the Aerie Manor.

When the black Maybach parked outside, its headlights illuminated the estate's main gates.

Celia jogged all the way to the gate to welcome Alistair.

Alistair was wearing a crisp suit. When he saw Celia, his expression remained unchanged.

"Uncle Alistair!" Celia stepped forward, her eyes crinkling with a smile.

His gaze swept over her, finally resting on her face.

After staying here for a few days, her complexion had finally regained some color.

Giving a slight nod, Alistair's voice was magnetic. "Let's go inside. It's cold out here."

Celia nodded and followed Alistair into the estate.

As soon as they entered the living room, the staff came forward to take the suit jacket the man took off. Alistair looked at Celia beside him. "Are you getting used to staying here?"

Celia nodded. "Yes! Mr. Palmer's food is amazing!"

Mr. Palmer? Alistair thought for a moment and realized she meant the chef. She seemed to be able to strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

Before he could say anything else, Ken, who had just parked the car, walked into the living room. Seeing Celia, he smiled and greeted her, "Ms. Stafford!"
