Ken stepped in front of Celia, shoving the man away without hesitation!
Celia looked at him in surprise. "Ken? What are you doing here?"
Ken was trained in martial arts, and his shove carried serious weight. The man clutched his wrist, wincing in pain.
"Ms. Stafford, Mr. Zucker is on his way to Forrester Group for a meeting," Ken said, giving her a slight nod. "Please wait in his car. I'll handle things here."
Following Ken's gaze, Celia saw Alistair sitting in the back of the parked vehicle.
"Thank you, Ken." Her voice was soft.
After thanking the assistant, she made her way toward Alistair's car.
"Hey! Who said you could leave?! I'm not done with you!" The man behind her was still yelling, completely oblivious to his situation.
Ken blocked his path, his tone strictly professional. "Sir, this young lady's affairs are entirely in my hands now. If you have an issue, you can take it up with me."
Having worked by Alistair's side for years, Ken was highly adept at handling sudden altercations.
One look at Ken's authoritative demeanor, and the angry driver's bravado immediately deflated.
On the other side, Celia approached Alistair's car, and the door automatically opened for her.
Standing just outside, the young woman spoke softly to the man inside. "Uncle Alistair, I'm sorry to trouble you."
Alistair was still looking down, reviewing a document. He didn't look up, merely giving a low hum of acknowledgment. "Get in."
"Thank you, Uncle Alistair."
As she settled into the seat, her complexion looked slightly pale, as if she hadn't quite recovered from the shock of the fender bender.
The man beside her was wearing gold-rimmed glasses, the delicate craftsmanship sharply accentuating the chiseled contours of his face. The lenses masked the emotions in his deep eyes, making him seem even more grounded and aloof.
