The Lycan's Forbidden Mate novel Chapter 154

154 Dawn of gods (3)

At her remarks, Nikolai grinned heartily and once more closed his eyes. “You’re quite fascinating.”

Ophelia smiled, but as she was about to speak, her golden eyes shone brightly. “Oh no!”

As soon as she stood up from him, Nikolai’s eyes suddenly opened, and as soon, dark mist erupted from him, triggering a sharp burn in his crimson eyes. He then sprang up after her.

“No, I want you to hide; I don’t want you to fight anyone.” In an attempt to calm him down, Ophelia told him in a calm and composed manner.

Nikolai just stared at her as though she had lost her mind. “Hide?!”

“Trust me.” Ophelia groaned at him, begging, “Please.”

Nikolai scowled bitterly. “Ridiculous.” Then he was entirely enveloped by his mist and disappeared from view.

Ophelia exhaled a long, contented sigh and turned to face the meadow in the other direction. Two fire gods appeared, each with flaming golden hair and eyes. They were looking sternly at Ophelia, who was now frowning somewhat.

“Could I inquire why you two are here?” Emerging from the water and approaching them, she asked with deep displeasure.

“The master blood moon god is said to have entered our heavenly dimensional realm. His energy is vividly surging here.” Lucius, the first fire deity, spoke, maintaining eye contact with her. She was only slightly wet. Her damp hair added to the seductive appearance she was giving off, and her wet clothing was adhering to her voluptuous body.

“And do you see any blood moon gods here?” With a growing scowl,

Ophelia questioned. “This is my mountain and my swimming hole! Do not offer any illogical justification for coming here.”

The fire gods initially appeared a little shocked before lowering their heads in her direction.

“Do not lose your temper, Ophelia; we are only in your mountain because its energy is so powerful.” Callisto, the second fire deity, spoke

courteously.

“There are nine sun gods, and I am one of them. Whatever your skills, I am better than you, fire gods. You two can be destroyed with a simple flick of my finger.” Ophelia snarled and drew nearer, putting her palms on their chests.

Despite coughing up blood at the same time, they both managed to maintain their composure out of pride, and even though Ophelia was aware of this, she nevertheless allowed them to maintain their

composure.

“Go lost.” She snarled and turned away from them, her face showing a hint of relief as she turned to look at the waterfall.

The fire gods reluctantly departed, and Ophelia patiently awaited their absence.

She squeezed her fist, attempting to comprehend how her life had gotten to this point so quickly.

Her prestige was extremely high because she was one of the most powerful gods in existence, and she gained notoriety particularly for her graceful and aggressive manner. Sadly, it didn’t mean she wasn’t dealing with issues of her own.

She had come to take a swim in the river to unwind and to brainstorm

solutions at the same time. A blood moon deity unexpectedly entering her mountain was not what she had anticipated.

To be honest, it was both a good and a bad thing.

Good because he was the answer to her dilemma, bad that the order

would become drastically out of balance as a result.

“You may come out now!” Ophelia declared.

Right behind her, a dark mist split, exposing Nikolai, who appeared a little startled. “You really are a sun goddess.”

Ophelia turned to face him, sighing. “Don’t you know that already?”

“And your favor?” Nikolai asked, his blade appearing in his hand. “I do not intend to be here for very long.”

“You were performing the tradition weren’t you? to coincide with the blood moon’s emergence.” enthused Ophelia said.

Nikolai was surprised by her intense interest in him. Given that other gods either wished to murder him or shuddered in his presence, it was

exceedingly uncommon. But he wouldn’t blame them. He was dangerous, and he was positive Ophelia was aware of it.

“I’ve been betrothed to the most powerful fire god, but I do not wish to wed him. Unfortunately, it is required by the order, so I must comply in order to strengthen our celestial dimension.” Ophelia started, sighing with frustration. “I genuinely do not want to wed him. I do not believe in simply getting married; instead, I want to at least experience those

heart-pounding feelings for the person I want to spend the rest of eternity with! The tingles should be constant!”

“Eh.” Nikolai remained motionless, not able to believe what he was hearing.

“The worst thing he did today was threaten me, and he also tried to touch me!” As soon as Ophelia finished speaking, she began to gag.

Every word she said, to Nikolai, seemed awkward. “He tried to touch you, huh.” Why did that incite him to rage? That wasn’t supposed to incite him!

Ophelia ran at him and leaned in close, but when he moved back, she caught hold of his cloak and lifted her head to look into his face.

“Why do you keep getting so close?!” Due to their proximity, Nikolai exclaimed in an agitated manner.

“Is it possible that you could kill him? Put him in a state where he wishes for death?” Ophelia asked, her eyes gleaming with delight.

Nikolai jerked his eyes. “What?”

Ophelia sighed and leaned away. “You won’t carry out my request, will

you?”

“It will have no significance to me. But won’t it have a big impact on you? You just mentioned that getting married will improve your celestial dimension.” Nikolai muttered to at least make her reason. “Every emotion you want to experience is pointless.”

Ophelia laughed incredulously. “What do you know? Just clobber him for his act of touching, and then you and I can battle.”

“You could just send me back, you know.” Nikolai said with a frown.

“I can’t. Not without another sun god.The gods might not agree; they might just wish to murder you.” Ophelia snickered. “If you wish to go bac you just have to murder me; if you are unable to do so, it is your loss.”
