“There’s another news of the dragons infiltrating Celestia, my lease. It is terrorizing your subjects.” Your Excellency Igor Putin, a somewhat snobbish middle-aged man, spoke elegantly while paying close attention to Nikolai. “You have no justification for that, especially in light of the recently triggered war on the front lines.” 1
“I have nothing to say.” With reluctance, honorable Dasha Elrod, who appeared to be around Skylar’s age, spoke forward. She was sensing Nikolai’s tremendous, domineering, unstable pressure and felt quite
uneasy.
“How are you able to remain silent? He murdered his father! Additionally, he desires to marry a dragon, which is an abomination!” An angry-looking middle-aged man named honorable Genya Minsky roared and slammed
his hands on the table.
When Nikolai’s eerie devious smile disappeared and was replaced with a deadly expression towards Genya, Skyla Flores, who was feeling the dark, unstable pressure rise, remained silent and felt her breath catch as if the glare was intended at her.
“Abomination?” Nikolai questioned as though he misheard Genya.
The unexpectedly hostile attitude of Nikolai caused Genya to blink quickly. He had never imagined that a simple glance would make him feel inferior, having only heard about Nikolai. “I, er, my lease,”
“Erased.” Genya was startled when Nikolai growled, shooting a dark mist from his body and throwing him out of his place all the way to the window, which he hit head-on, sending him tumbling to the ground outside the castle.

Tension.
When Nikolai let out a deep sigh and smiled brightly as if he had not just killed someone, the council members all turned to look at him with
horrified eyes. “How about we politely address my wife now. That is, if you do not want to pass away too soon.”
All of the council members dropped their heads in his direction, their hearts brimming with dread, and Nikolai was overcome with excitement by their terror. What he wanted was pure terror. He wanted everyone to have that experience.
“With regards to Alexander Novikov’s passing, the ceremony will be conducted in accordance with my family’s customs. The battle on the front lines has been decisively won, and my wedding is none of your business.” When Nikolai noticed that their heads were still lowered, he casually backed away and let out a hearty laugh. “Lift your heads and give me your full attention.”
They complied. However, their bodies shook from the fear they felt for Nikolai, who could clearly hear their heart racing. He was able to detect each and every pulse and blood pump that traveled into veins.
Dark mist started to emanate from him, and as the eyes of the snake tattoo on his face started to open, the doors opened revealing Ophelia. entering with Pain.
Ophelia arched her eyebrows in perplexity as she stared at Nikolai, who appeared to be prepared to commit murder, before shifting her attention to the terrified-looking council members in the room.
The snake’s eyes disappeared, and it slithered back to his neck.
“What is happening?” She questioned as she approached Nikolai, oblivious to his ferocious and threatening atmosphere. She cupped his face in an attempt to confirm that what she had just witnessed was real and not just

a hallucination as she stared at him in complete confusion. “I just noticed your tattoo right here, Nik.”
Nikolai grinned and gave her a long look before grabbing her wrists and yanking her hand away from his face. “I apologize. I’ve been at the brink lately.”
Ophelia’s pupils flitted. Did he merely mean to say that he nearly killed
them?
“At the brink?” She questioned and took his hand before looking at the council. “I’m sorry for his behavior.”
That brief but imposing inquiry caught Nikolai off guard, and he let her effortlessly lead him out of the room. Wasn’t she meant to be at the library?
Eriks and Zakhar bowed respectfully to them.
Zakhar started. “Your Majesty, we tried to stop her, but she..”
Nikolai twitched his lips. “You are dismissed.” He then followed Ophelia as she pulled him along till they reached a deserted hallway.
“Where are we going, sweetheart?” Nikolai questioned with a soft murmur
in his voice.
Ophelia let go of his hand and inhaled deeply, but as she turned to face him, he grabbed her arms and trapped her against the wall, causing her to gasp and look at him with eyes that instantly changed into their golden reptilian form.
“Shouldn’t you be at the library?” He questioned, leaning in close and showing off his sharp protruding fangs.
Ophelia gulped. Hard. She was greatly impacted by the closeness, his voice, and his breath brushing on her skin. Bloodlust and unbridled desire

for her were both present in those eyes. “Before we arrived at the library, Rhaziel was called away by Artem, so I walked around until I encountered Pain, who directed me to you.”
“Is something not right?” Nikolai relinquished his grip on her arms and leaned in for a whisper before placing his face in the hollow of her neck. “There’s no need for you to worry about me.”
“I’m sorry, I can’t help it.” In an effort to soothe his heightened negative feelings, Ophelia sighed and embraced him. “Nikolai, you need to control your bloodlust.”
Nikolai monitored her pulse. The tranquility, the torture! It was thumping freely and without any fear at all! “It is not as simple as you may believe.”
With his hands relaxed on the wall and his claws burrowing into it, he adorned the side of her neck with his fangs. As soon as the mark appeared, he gave it a kiss and gave it a good lick.
“Ni.. Nikolai!” Holding on to him, Ophelia gasped. It was like her body was on fire! and at that point was utterly pleading for Nikolai’s touch. She let out an involuntary groan, squeezing her thighs together, as he nibbled and kissed that region, sending a tingling feeling through her body.
She felt some air return to her system when Nikolai abruptly came to a stop. It only lasted for a split second, though, as he suddenly plunged his fangs into her neck at the precise location where he had previously marked her. Her entire body tensed, and she let out a piercing scream that caused golden scales to form beneath her eyes and her fangs to
lengthen.
The bite was everything from painful for some incredibly bizarre reason; instead, it was arousing her in the most potent, incomprehensible ways imaginable. She coughed, parting her lips, and felt her legs give way as he bared his fangs deeply.

Drawing her away from the wall and toward himself with his arm around her waist, Nikolai retracted his fangs. “Do you feel tired?”
Ophelia, who was struggling to open her eyes, moaned feebly and leaned in, encircling his neck with her arms. “What kind of a question is that?” She asked slowly, a thin smile appearing on her lips.
“I’m sleepy,” Nikolai laughed, his eyes heavy.
“I think you shouldn’t have done that.” Pressing her body against his, Ophelia muttered. Her body was still very hot, and when she felt his hand grab her clothing, it made her body feel even more enthused.
“How do you feel?” Nikolai mumbled, his fangs disappearing and leaving just a small amount of her blood on his lips, which he sensually licked.
“Intoxicated.” He received an aggressive, harsh kiss from Ophelia as she giggled and slammed her lips against his. Her body was getting hotter by the second, making her want to take off her clothes, but she didn’t want to stop kissing Nikolai. She was intoxicated by his amazing taste and she
loved it!
Suddenly, Nikolai broke his lips from hers and smirked. “Is the wedding night over?”
Ophelia was in a daze. “I… what are you doing to me?”
“It’s referred to as heat, my sweet.” As he gently kissed her lips and chuckled, he backed away an inch. He could understand how she was feeling, but truth be told, he felt worse and kept pondering how he was managing to stay composed. That lone, frail thread! “We won’t be being married here in the castle; instead, it will be extremely private.”
