“Stop gazing at her in that manner. You look like a lunatic.”
“Are you unhappy that no one is staring at you?”
“I’m too busy babysitting a lunatic, you know.”
“This lunatic didn’t ask for a babysitter.”
“You once called me father.”
“I didn’t.”
“As soon as you stop staring at her and follow me, I’ll stop teasing you!”
“Do not yell, or you’ll wake her up!”
Ophelia opened her eyes and let out a loud moan before looking at Nikolai and Rhaziel. “This early in the morning, waking a lady is totally wrong.”
“Darling.” She rolled her eyes as Nikolai cooed and moved toward the bed. She then retreated from the bed by taking a different path and walked away to what appeared to be the bathing room.
She entered and immediately realized that this was a completely different chamber. The spacious bathroom reeked of genuine majesty. The pool was bigger and the water was heating.
“Come to think of it, the bed was also bigger.” She muttered and smiled. She believed Nikolai was simply exaggerating things, and it was beginning to seem as though she was the one having a murky mind.
Back in the room, Nikolai sat on the cushion, snatching the bottle Rhaziel was holding out to him. “I find it surprising that you aren’t reprimanding me for last night.”
“Reprimanding you won’t bring the dead back.” Rhaziel scowled.

“I’m happy that it won’t.” Gulping down the liquid from the bottle, Nikolai laughed.
Rhaziel exhaled and tightened the area of flesh beneath his brows. “Father will arrive here soon if you continue doing things your way.”
“Why? The inability to act without causing bloodshed is not my fault. I’m not the only one who is obstinate.” As he licked the blood from his lips,
Nikolai tsked.
Rhaziel gave Nikolai a horned gaze. “Are you sure you aren’t my long-lost
brother?”
“Didn’t you claim that I once addressed you as father?” Clicking his
tongue, Nikolai said. “I shudder at the thought.”
Rhaziel rolled his eyes. “You granted the wish of a scared maid just to stop Maria from abusing the servants.”
“Is that a bad thing?” Innocently, Nikolai’s eyes enlarge.
“No, it’s charity.” Crossing his arms over his chest, Rhaziel murmured.
“Ziel, I am not the kind to abandon a damsel in distress.” With a contented sigh, Nikolai drank some more of the blood from the bottle.
“Especially not when the damsel wishes to die in order to be free of her sorrows rather than taking action to end them.” He continued in an unusually somber tone.
When Nikolai encountered the maid in the kitchen. She had actually been interrogated by him out of curiosity, and after telling him everything Maria had been up to, she started to think about how she wanted to terminate her life since she was so fed up with Maria.
When she asked for assistance, Nikolai strung the chain from the chandelier in just the right place for her to take her own life.

So she did.
Rhaziel exhaled heavily. “Now that that’s out of the way, I found the
mansion in the east forest behind the ice mountain.”
“Perfect.” Excitedly, Nikolai said. Let’s leave! Tell the annoying fairy to keep my wife entertained.”
Rhaziel shook his head, grinning. It was unusual to see Nikolai acting so completely excited. He had at least experienced a NORMAL occurrence.
Ophelia, expecting to see Nikolai and Rhaziel, walked out of the bathing room in a big robe. However, what she discovered was an enthusiastic
Esmeralda.
“Lia!” She called and raced to her, giving her a bear embrace.
Ophelia returned the hug. “What are you doing here?”
“I’ll be residing in Celestia for a bit.” Responding, Esmeralda retreated
from the embrace.
Ophelia was stunned yet immensely excited. Esmeralda was a wonderful, vivacious companion who lacked the deadly fervor of her future husband and his best buddy.
Once Ophelia was ready for the day, they went to the dining room to have their breakfast and met Viktor and Yulia who were having their meal.
“Pleasant morning, Ophelia.” Yulia gave a friendly greeting.
“Pleasant morning, indeed.” In response, Ophelia grinned back.
“Esmeralda,” said Viktor.
“Pleasant morning, everyone.” Smiling, Esmeralda.

They sat down and joined the meal. There was more than enough on the
vast table.
“It appears that you and Nikolai have reconciled.” Ophelia gave Yulia a nod as she spoke.
“Oh? You two quarreled?” Inquired Esmeralda.
Viktor kept quiet but managed a slender smile. He was relieved that whatever had transpired between them had been resolved.
“Goddess! Viktor, did you hear about the maid…”
“Yulia, eat without speaking.” Viktor interrupted her and tastefully inserted a piece of salad into his lips.
Yulia gave him a vindictive lip twist. “Why are you suddenly acting like Pavel? He never misses an opportunity to bring out my errors.”
“It’s obvious that he doesn’t want you to say more, Yulia.” Esmerelda
chuckled.
“Hmph!” Yulia huffed.
“But what happened to the maid?” Curious, Ophelia enquired.
“Oh, last night a maid committed suicide.” Esmeralda responded
carelessly.
Ophelia gently nodded. She genuinely lacked interest in that, despite the fact that it shocked her.
“Ick! Unwanted flies are in abundance here.”
“Ignore him.” Yulia mouthed at Ophelia.
“So, when are the nuptials?” As he entered the dining room, Danil snarled in utter annoyance. “This is not an inn for whores, dragons and dark fairies; it is a royal castle for the royal of Celestia.”
