The Lycan's Forbidden Mate novel Chapter 129

129 Dark hunger

“Let’s get you dinner.” Sasha said, attempting to suppress the anxiety that was starting to creep into her.

At this moment, Nikolai was undoubtedly acting strangely.

“Not necessary. I can hear your heart beating with a delicious kind of fear.” Nikolai snarled as he approached her.

“What’s happening to you?” Sasha whimpered.

“I’m starving,” He moaned and stopped, teasing his already ruffled hair with his fingers. “Thanks to you, I was thinking about Ophelia so much that I forgot to have blood all day. Why wait to receive your punishment?”

“W.. what?”Sasha took hurried steps back. She had never felt more afraid than she did at that precise moment.

As Nikolai approached her, his eyes took on a thick black form, and thick black veins started to appear beneath his eyes and down his cheekbones. This sight made her heart race.

‘What is happening?”

She was about to scream.

A bright green glow appeared from her hands as Nikolai, who appeared to be preparing to kill her, drew closer. “Stay away, Nikolai!” Although she was making an effort to sound brave, anxiety had taken over her life.

She blasted at Nikolai as soon as he made another step.

Sadly, Nikolai did not wince or blink; rather, her conduct seemed to enrage him.

“What the hell!” She yelled.

That blast was at least intended to harm him severely enough to knock him to the ground.

She immediately disappeared from view and reappeared in her bedroom, where Nikolai was waiting for her. His protruding claws, the snake tattoo on his neck was terrifyingly strange! The eyes of the snake that were supposed to be closed, were open and crimson!

“Goddess!” Her eyes widened, and she started right away to conjure a spell that would render him unconscious. She blasted at him, but once more he didn’t flinch or respond as she had anticipated. At that point, it appeared as though he had developed magic resistance.

She disappeared once more, this time showing up in Nikolai’s deserted bedroom expecting to see Ophelia asleep, but who she saw was Rhaziel, who was carrying a bottle and walking toward the door.

Sensing her presence, the demon turned to her a bit surprised. She was trembling, sweating profusely, and clearly terrified.

“Is everything fine? Have you perhaps seen Nikolai? He hasn’t consumed blood in a while, which isn’t really a good thing.” Rhaziel stated, looking a bit anxious.

Rhaziel quickly realized what was going on when Nikolai abruptly entered the room, enveloped by dark wisps that were erupting from his body.

Sasha immediately rushed and hid behind him.

“Help me!” She exclaimed.

“Oh, kill me.” He moaned and moved quickly, pointing the bottle towards Nikolai. “Enough already. Your dinner is here.”

Nikolai smacked the bottle away, but Rhaziel’s ominous mist engulfed it and caused it to levitate, preventing it from striking the ground.

“Are you being serious right now?!” Rhaziel yelled furiously.

“I don’t want that anymore.” A vicious smirk appeared on Nikolai’s lips as he hissed menacingly, turned to face Sasha, listening to her racing heart.

“I want that.”

He began to walk around Rhaziel, heading towards Sasha but the demon grabbed his arm. “Come back to your senses Nik!”

“Unhand me!” Nikolai lost his cool, yanked away, and disappeared.

“Not again,” The moment Rhaziel clinched his teeth and rushed to stand in front of Sasha, Nikolai materialized in front of him bearing a gloomy

expression.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Nikolai questioned, his deep, dark voice tinged with irritation. “Get out of my sight.”

Rhaziel cried out gently, “Nikolai,” attempting to calm him down, but Nikolai appeared adamant about getting to Sasha.

Nikolai sighed in exasperation as Rhaziel closely blocked his every move. “What is your problem?”

“Get a grip!” Rhaziel shouted and violently slapped Nikolai in the cheek.

“Go.” He snarled at Sasha, who was paralyzed in amazement.

“Oh.. oh!” She then vanished from sight.

Nikolai halted, his eyes widening slightly, and he raised his claw hand cautiously to touch his painfully irritated cheek. His claws gradually disappeared as he tasted his own blood, and his snake tattoo, as well as his face and eyes, returned to normal.

“You haven’t hit me in a while,” Nikolai chuckled, muttering.

“My worst fear is when my slaps stops working on you.” Rhaziel sighed, his

voice rising with relief, and then he carried the bottle.

“I nearly murdered her? I wasn’t even aware of it.” Nikolai took the bottle from Rhaziel, cracked it open, and downed the entire contents.

‘Ophelia shouldn’t have seen this side of me.’ He thought.

He had several very dangerous sides to him, and this was one of them. The only person who could have brought him back to reality was Rhaziel, but what if Rhaziel wasn’t… He sighed and shook his head as he pointed the empty bottle at Rhaziel.

“I want more,” he demanded.

“Your thirst is increasing?” Rhaziel arched an incredulous eyebrow.

Slowly, Nikolai nodded. “I believe so. Normally, a bottle would deter me. Tell Ares to raise the package’s size.”

Rhaziel let out a long sigh and gathered the bottle. “You need a diversion from your thirst. I believe the reason it’s becoming worse is that you’re trying to control something you can’t.”

“Making you an uncle is the only thing I’m trying to control.” Nikolai grumbled.

Rhaziel suppressed a smile. “I think that’s the cause of your rising thirst.”

Nikolai sighed deeply. “I can’t believe this. I almost killed Sasha because I
