The Captain I Married by Chance novel Chapter 612

The second Nora crossed the threshold, she was instantly dazzled by the brilliant display of gowns lining the walls.

"Gorgeous, right?" Valerie's voice buzzed in Nora's ear. "Look at that tulle! It looks like an actual cloud! And look at the diamonds on that one!"

"Oh my God, look at this one over here! The sapphires are shaped like teardrops, so when you walk, they'll sway with every step you take. Just imagining it is stunning."

"And this one! This is the winner. It looks simple, but the fabric is so insanely light. Look at it! If you put this on, it would feel like you're wearing nothing at all, but the moment the wind catches it—" Valerie flushed with absolute awe. "You'd look like an actual fairy descending from heaven!"

"I want to lock you in here and make you try on every single one of them."

"I would gladly clear my entire camera roll just to take photos of you in these dresses!"

Nora had been admiring the craftsmanship, nodding along with Valerie's commentary, but the threat of a full-blown photoshoot made her instantly recoil.

"No, no, I'll pass..."

Are you kidding? Trying those on one by one would take until the next century.

Valerie and Julia stared at her as if she had just grown a second head. They couldn't fathom her blatant resistance.

What woman could turn down the temptation of trying on beautiful wedding dresses?

More importantly, Nora was the actual bride. Didn't she want to look devastatingly gorgeous on her wedding day?

Why was she so opposed to it?

Valerie's eyes narrowed as a sudden thought hit her. She leaned in, her voice dropping to a dramatic whisper. "Nora, tell me the truth. Are you actually willing to go through with this wedding?"

Julia's eyes went wide with panic. Was there trouble in paradise right before the big day?

"What is wrong with your imagination?" Nora rolled her eyes, exhausted by Valerie's wild leaps of logic.

Valerie would rather believe Nora was being forced into a marriage than accept that she simply wasn't hypnotized by wedding gowns.
