The Captain I Married by Chance novel Chapter 613

"Try it on!"

"You absolutely have to!"

Valerie and Julia instantly sprang back to life, their nausea entirely forgotten at the mention of the custom gown.

Nora cleared her throat. "There's no rush. Can we pick out the bridesmaid dresses first?"

In truth, she was just being lazy. Putting on a massive wedding dress and dealing with all the precise adjustments sounded exhausting.

She really didn't want to do it right now. And she hated the idea of being surrounded and stared at like an exhibit in a museum.

Her plan was to lock down the bridesmaid dresses quickly and then deal with her own gown in a fast, efficient strike.

"I'm afraid that might not be the best approach," the stylist said gently. "We highly recommend checking the synergy between the wedding gown and the bridesmaid dresses first. Otherwise, the styles might clash."

The stylist had never encountered a bride so utterly indifferent to her own custom dress. Remembering the powerful family Nora was marrying into, the stylist softened her tone, practically coaxing her. "It really won't take much time at all."

"Why don't we just go upstairs and take a look?"

If they were just looking...

Nora finally relented. "Alright. We'll look."

The stylist gave Nora a knowing glance but held her tongue. She had wanted to suggest that trying it on right away would allow for immediate alterations. But given the bride's blatant lack of enthusiasm, she wisely kept her mouth shut and followed Nora's lead.

The three of them followed the stylist into the exclusive VIP suite.

The room was as spacious and luminous as a private chapel. In the center, beneath a cascade of soft, brilliant spotlights, rested the gown.

It was a dress so utterly flawless it stripped the air from their lungs.

It defied description. Like the others, it was pure white, but the tulle possessed a feather-light weightlessness paired with the rich, liquid texture of silk. It practically glowed with a soft, ethereal light.
