Cecil scoffed. "He wouldn't dare if he valued his life!"
"Thank you, Cecil," Sheila said warmly.
"No need to thank me," Cecil replied, glancing at her. "We've covered work. What about your personal life? Are you seeing anyone?"
"No," Sheila answered. "I'm too busy with work."
"There's no rush. You're still young." Cecil paused. "When are you heading back?"
"In about a month, at least."
"That won't be until after the New Year," Cecil noted. "I'll come keep you company for the holidays."
"You don't have to do that," Sheila quickly protested. "You should spend it with your family."
"What family?" Cecil countered. "Are they more important than you?"
Sheila felt a bit flustered. "Still, the holidays are an important family time. Besides, I'll be swamped with work anyway."
"We'll figure it out when the time comes."
Sheila breathed a sigh of relief. "Where are you staying? A hotel?"
"Yeah," Cecil nodded. "Want to come see?"
"No, I should really get back."
Half an hour later, Cecil dropped her off at her accommodations.
As she stepped out of the car, he said, "Don't worry about that guy. I'll handle him."
Sheila nodded firmly. "Got it."
"Look how much you've grown," Cecil said, reaching out to pat her head. "Go on. Call me if you need anything."
Sheila waved at him. "Bye, Cecil!"
Watching her walk inside, Cecil held out his hand.
The bodyguard beside him immediately handed over a cigarette and quickly lit it with a lighter.
