Wren took a slow, grounding breath.

"Let's get to work."

She immediately started barking out orders.

"Tech team, pull up our data-minimization protocols. I want irrefutable proof that we are only tracking absolute baseline metrics. Legal, draft a bulletproof addendum to the privacy agreements. Dr. York, I need you to break down exactly why home-monitoring is a clinical necessity for real-time risk prevention."

Julian nodded instantly. "On it."

"Zeke, run a trace and see if any ghost accounts started reposting that Langford article yesterday to push a narrative about Lancia hoarding data."

Zeke shot out of his chair.

As soon as Phoebe heard the news, she stormed into the office.

After skimming the inquiries, her face twisted in disgust.

"This isn't a routine check. Someone is intentionally trying to bury you."

Wren looked at her. "Any way to trace who leaked the tip?"

Phoebe shook her head. "Not this fast. And with The Ethics Board, people usually whisper things off the record to avoid leaving a paper trail."

Wren fell silent.

This was the brutal reality of the corporate world.

You couldn't always find the smoking gun to instantly clear your name the second you were framed.

And true innocence rarely ever spoke for itself right away.

She had to stabilize the project first before everything completely imploded.

Phoebe studied her for a moment before saying, "Wren, you need to learn a very important lesson from all of this."

Wren looked up.

"Being a professional doesn't just mean building a flawless product," Phoebe said pointedly. "It means knowing how to ruthlessly defend it when someone tries to drag it through the mud."

Wren was stunned.

Phoebe continued, "You spent way too much time playing the silent martyr with the Langfords. You're used to keeping your head down and just doing the work instead of controlling the narrative. But in this industry, whoever speaks first controls the truth."

Wren remained perfectly still.

Those words struck a nerve with surgical precision.

She really wasn't used to fighting for the microphone.

Over the past six years, she had done an unimaginable amount of work.

She had raised her son single-handedly, managed the entire estate, and tirelessly cleaned up Lawrence's messes.

But she had never once bragged about it.

And as a result, everyone just assumed all of it was simply her job.
