He lowered his voice. "Willow isn't staying here right now."

"Where she stays has absolutely nothing to do with me."

"Then what exactly are you still so hung up on?"

Wren actually let out a dry laugh.

"Lawrence, I'm not hung up on anything."

She said it with such devastating calmness.

But to Lawrence, those words were like glass in his ears.

He glared at her, his voice dropping to a dangerous freeze. "Wren, do you honestly think walking away from my family is going to be that easy?"

He just assumed she was done waiting around.

"Easy or not, I'm leaving."

Lawrence fell silent for a few seconds before suddenly scoffing.
