She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 594

"I'm marrying her and protecting her and our child because it's what I should have done from the start. I owe her everything. Three years ago, during that accident at sea, she was the one who saved me. I stupidly mistook her for Jasmine, which is the only reason Jasmine and I even had a relationship. But the truth is, the woman I've loved all along is Lyra."

Delilah fell completely silent.

Rowan turned on his heel and walked outside to make a call.

Victoria snapped out of her shock and hurried after him. It all made sense now. Rowan's tragic confession about his infertility had been an absolute lie. He had fabricated the entire story just to force her into accepting his marriage to Lyra.

The realization hit her like a freight train, just as she heard her son ordering someone on the phone to track down Tabitha. Victoria lunged forward and snatched the phone from his hand.

"Rowan, stop!" she pleaded. "This was Delilah letting her paranoia run wild. Leave Tabitha alone!"

Victoria lowered her voice, a desperate edge to her tone. "You and I both know Caspian caused that crash. Our family has already destroyed Jasmine's life. Your wedding is in a few days. If you want to marry Lyra in peace, listen to me. I don't even care that you lied to me about being infertile anymore. You broke Jasmine's heart, and Caspian made sure she can never be a mother. Don't add more blood to our hands..."

"You..." Rowan began, but Delilah suddenly rushed out into the hall.

"She's awake!"

Rowan didn't hesitate. He immediately strode back into the room.

Lyra's hands were already resting protectively over her stomach.

"The baby is perfectly fine."

Rowan crouched beside her bed, taking her hand gently in his. "You did amazing. You protected him."

Lyra stared blankly at the ceiling, refusing to look at him. "Are you sure he's okay?"

"He's perfectly fine. But you're going to have to stay in bed for a few days."

She let out a heavy sigh. "Sunday is right around the corner. We can't postpone it again, or the Jameson family will become a laughingstock for breaking our word."

Rowan's expression remained perfectly stoic. "Let the guests come. Tell them we aren't accepting gifts. They can eat and go home."

Victoria stared at him. "And what about the two of you? Lyra's in no condition to sit through a massive, chaotic reception."

Rowan didn't miss a beat. "I'll have them project a slideshow of our childhood photos on a loop. They can watch that."

Standing nearby, Andrea was thoroughly shocked by the suggestion.

But what shocked her even more was Victoria actually agreeing to it. "Fine. I'm not totally unreasonable. Let the guests come, they can look at your pictures and enjoy the food. It won't hold anything up. Once the baby is born and a little older, the three of you can host a proper ceremony."

"Right now, Lyra's health is the only priority. Everything else can wait until the baby is here."
