She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 372

There are four great families in Crowncrest City: the Holcomb family, the York family, the Walker family, and the Chase family. Each one stands at the very top of society.

The Holcomb family holds the city’s economic lifeblood in its hands. Its patriarch, Luther, is a towering figure in Crowncrest City—everybody knows his name. The most successful film studio in the region? It belongs to his company.

That’s why Hyatt has made such a splash in the entertainment industry, rising to stardom without a single scandal and becoming Veridia’s top celebrity.

Hyatt’s mother, Heidi, was a legendary actress in her day—the kind of woman who haunted dreams and inspired devotion. Families like theirs are so far out of reach, most people can only watch from a distance.

But Celine’s happiness vanished the instant she saw Marshall’s message.

Don’t go.

Just two words, but they sent her heart plunging into ice.

Why wasn’t she allowed to go?

Why? she shot back, uncharacteristically defiant.

No reason. I said no, and that’s final.

Marshall’s answer came back hard and unyielding.

Maybe it’s just a guy thing—never wanting the girl you care about to get close to someone else, especially if that someone happens to be better than you.

Right now, Marshall was fuming. A new upstart company had been stealing client after client from him. He’d done some digging; the man behind it was named Victor. Just six months ago, Victor had been drowning in debt—God knows how, but in half a year, he paid it all off and started his own firm.

After Hester was thrown out, Octavia had moved to a private clinic to recuperate—supposedly for a little peace and quiet. But everyone knew she just couldn’t stand being in the Sutton house, surrounded by so many unhappy memories.

So much had happened in the Sutton family over the past six months. Martha shook her head helplessly. Sometimes, it felt like the family was falling apart at the seams.

Meanwhile, Sabrina was heading home after parting ways with Stella when she heard Frank call out behind her.

“Why are you by yourself?” he asked.

She wondered at that—Frank was usually glued to Shawn’s side. Why was he alone today? She also noticed his hair had changed; no more ridiculous rooster-red spikes. Amazing what a difference a hairstyle could make—he actually looked pretty decent now.

Frank let out a weary, bittersweet sigh. “Don’t ask. Shawn said my brother just arrived in Port City.”
