She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 380

But after more than three hours of practice, she still couldn’t quite get the rhythm right.

Frustrated, she raked her fingers through her hair. Enough for today—she’d try again tomorrow.

Just as she stepped back into her bedroom, the sound of a door opening down the hall caught her ear.

She’s back!

Celine slipped out, careful to keep her expression neutral, and made her way to Sabrina’s door.

Knock, knock, knock.

Sabrina frowned. At this hour, the only one who’d come knocking was Celine.

“What do you want?” Sabrina’s voice, cool and edged with impatience, floated out from inside.

Celine forced down the irritation churning in her chest and kept her tone sweet and steady. “Hey, sis, I need to talk to you. Can you open the door?”

“I’m going to bed.”

Celine bit back a curse. Who did this bitch think she was, treating her like this? Just some stray dragged in from God knows where.

“Mom and my brother are coming back next month,” she tried, pitching her voice to sound casual. “I thought maybe we could go pick them up together. What do you think?”

She’d originally wanted to test whether Sabrina played piano—but then thought better of it. That snake was too sharp; one careless question and she’d see right through her.

If she could get Sabrina out of the way and keep her from Hyatt’s concert, that would work just fine.

“Not interested.” The answer came, flat as ever.

Celine expected nothing less.

Sabrina had never cared about their mother. Not once had she asked about her condition since she’d gone abroad for treatment. Celine herself was just making conversation.

Looks like she’d have to come up with another plan.
