Pack Visit 1

Pack Visit-1

Markus realized with a sinking feeling that Kaia had slipped from reality, her eyes staring blankly, devoid of life. Panic surged through him, and he gathered her in his arms, running as fast as he could toward the pack’s ground. His heart pounded with each step, his mind racing with fear and

worry.

Some of the guards noticed him, their faces turning from curiosity to alarm as they saw who he was carrying. Soon, a frantic James rushed to his side. “What happened?” James demanded, his voice tight with concern.

“She fell in the waterfall,” Markus replied, his voice strained.

“Follow me to the clinic,” James said before mind-linking Azriel.

The run to the clinic felt like an eternity, but they finally arrived. The doctors immediately took Kaia from Markus, working swiftly to stabilize her. Markus stood there, panting and watching with wide eyes, his heart still hammering in his chest.

Azriel burst into the clinic moments later, his face a mask of fear and anger. “What happened?!” he screamed, his voice echoing off the walls.

Markus took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. “She fell in the waterfall.”

Azriel’s eyes flashed with a mix of confusion and rage. “What the hell was she doing at the

waterfall at this hour?”

Markus hesitated, looking into the eyes of his best friend. He couldn’t bring himself to tell Azriel the full truth, it would destroy him. “Maybe she was just taking a walk,” he said softly, knowing it was a weak explanation but unable to do more. “It was just luck to be in the area at that time.”

Azriel’s expression shifted, still furious but now full of desperation.

“Lora could help her,” Markus said in a hopeful tone.

Azriel’s expression looked conflicted, “She can’t help anyone at the moment.”

Markus frowned. “Why not?”

Azriel’s face fell, his shoulders sagging. “After the Luna ceremony, after we completed the blood

bond, she felt very weak. She lost consciousness a few hours later.”

Markus’s shock was evident. “Is she okay?”

“Doctor Luigi, our most senior doctor, checked her. All her vitals are fine, but he thinks it was too

much for her new human body. He said we should let her rest. We tried to wake her up earlier, but

we were not successful,” Azriel explained, his voice filled with worry.

Markus’s mind reeled with the information. The weight of the situation pressed heavily on him. Two of the people Azriel loved most were unconscious, and he felt powerless to help.

Doctor Luigi appeared in the doorway, his face etched with exhaustion and concern. He approached Azriel and Markus, taking a deep breath before delivering the news. “We’ve managed to stabilize Kaia,” he began, “but she’s in a deep coma.”

Azriel’s panic was immediate. “Coma? Why? What happened?”

Doctor Luigi sighed heavily. “Her wolf is very weak, unable to heal her. The trauma, both physical and emotional, has left her in this state.”

A wave of worry crossed everyone’s faces. The gravity of Kaia’s condition settled heavily in the room. After some time, they left the clinic and returned to the pack house. Azriel invited Markus

into his office, where he poured them both a glass of whiskey. They sat in silence for a moment,

the weight of the situation pressing down on them.

Azriel finally broke the silence. “Thank you for saving my sister, Markus.”

Markus nodded, taking a sip of his whiskey. “No thanks are required, Azriel. Kaia has always been like a little spitfire since the day I met her. I care about her deeply.”

Azriel’s expression was one of exhaustion and desperation. “How can I help her, Markus? What can

1 do?”

Markus thought for a moment before responding. “She needs professional help, Azriel. Someone

who specializes in trauma and healing. Maybe a combination of a therapist and a powerful healer.

Or, maybe Lora could help her.”

Azriel shook his head. “She’s rejected all my attempts to get her help. She shuts down every time I

bring it up.”

The room fell silent again, the weight of their shared concern palpable. After a while, Azriel asked, ” Are you returning to your pack soon?”
