Pack Visit-2
Markus shook his head. “No. I’m going to visit the Black Forest Pack, Lora’s old pack.”
Azriel raised an eyebrow. “Why?”
Markus leaned back in his chair, taking a deep breath before speaking. “Azriel, there’s something you need to know. I’ve been looking into the terror list topic and sent a few spies to investigate all the cases from the list. You remember our previous discussion when I promised you that I would look into this and try to clear her name.”
Azriel looked intrigued and concerned. “And what did you find?”
Markus’s expression darkened. “When I received the reports this week, I realized in shock that the Black Forest Pack, since Alpha Alex took over, has added more than a dozen people to the list in just a few years. This is highly concerning as only the most dangerous criminals should be on that list. I doubt that the Black Forest Pack suddenly became a hub of criminal activity where all the bad elements are gathering.”
Azriel frowned, his mind racing. “What are you suggesting?”
Markus continued, “My spies told me that after Lora got banned, it became a habit for them to deal with anyone they couldn’t control or wanted to punish by declaring them rogues and adding them to the terror list. It’s their way of getting rid of dissenters or threats.”
Azriel’s eyes widened in surprise. “I never liked the new Alpha, Alex. I met him a few times during
Alpha conferences, and I always found him insignificant. He was nothing like his father, Alpha Ben.
And after I met Lora, my position is clear.”
Markus nodded in agreement. “Exactly. Ben was a strong and honorable leader. Alex, on the other
hand, seems to be taking the pack in a darker direction. He relies only on old alliances and former
glory. No business sense or good deals; only showing off their wealth which will drain one day if
they continue in the same rhythm.”
Azriel’s expression turned thoughtful. “You need to do something about this. If what you’re saying
is true, then Alex is abusing his power and endangering the lives of innocent pack members.”
Markus nodded. “I agree and this is the reason for my visit, aside from clearing Lora’s name. I
should go now to get a few hours of sleep in the car. I don’t want to delay more than necessary.
Once I have finished my visit, I will visit you again soon. Stay safe, my friend.”
After patting Azriel on the back, Markus made his way to his assigned room. He changed into a
more formal outfit, suitable for his visit to the Black Forest Pack. He adjusted his tie, took a deep
breath, and then headed downstairs where a convoy of cars was waiting for him.

As the convoy sped through the dense forest and winding roads, Markus’s mind raced with thoughts of what he might uncover in the Black Forest Pack. After several hours of driving, they finally arrived around 10 am. The imposing gates of the Black Forest Pack opened to reveal a well-maintained courtyard. Pack members lined up in neat rows, and the air buzzed with
anticipation.
From the car window, Markus could see Alpha Alex and his Luna waiting at the entrance. As the car came to a stop, he took a moment to analyze the scene. Luna stood tall and poised beside Alex. She was strikingly beautiful with dark hair, but there was a coldness about her, a stark contrast to Lora’s warm and inviting presence. Where Lora radiated a gentle and nurturing beauty, her sister exuded an aura of icy elegance.
Markus took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the encounter. “It’s showtime,” he muttered under his breath as he stepped out of the car.
The moment he set foot on the ground, an alluring scent hit him. It was a mix of honey and wildflowers, intoxicating and undeniably captivating. His wolf, always vigilant, stirred violently in his mind, screaming, “Mate!” as Markus’s eyes widened in shock, He will finally meet his mate!
