Family Day-2
Clary
Her heart swelled as she scooped them up, one in each arm, kissing their cheeks while they giggled and squirmed. The day had just begun, and yet Lora already felt enveloped in peace and
contentment.
As the hours passed, the day blurred in a haze of warm family activities. True to his word, Azriel spent the entire day with them, leaving behind the usual responsibilities of his role as Alpha. They
played with the twins, took Asher on adventures around the Pack house, and shared quiet
moments of laughter and joy. It was a rare and precious day, the kind that nourished the soul.
Towards the evening, with the sun casting a golden hue over the horizon, Azriel and Lora decided
to take a peaceful stroll around the grounds. The twins were snug in their stroller, and Asher ran
ahead of them, full of energy and boundless enthusiasm, chasing imaginary creatures and
laughing gleefully.
The evening air was crisp and filled with the comforting sounds of pack life. As they walked along
the path, holding hands, they suddenly spotted Beta James hurrying towards them, a slightly frantic expression on his face.
Azriel noticed first and smirked, leaning toward Lora. “Here comes trouble,” he teased, his voice
low and playful.
Lora stifled a laugh, watching as James approached. “James, take a breath,” Azriel called out as the Beta finally reached them, looking flustered but determined.
“Azriel! Lora!” James greeted, slightly out of breath. “I’ve been trying to find you all day.”
Azriel, ever the teasing Alpha, raised an eyebrow and replied with a grin, “I told you, no pack
business today, James. I’m off duty.”
James, clearly exasperated but undeterred, shook his head. “It’s not pack business, I promise.”
“Then go ahead, ask your question,” Azriel said, his voice still laced with amusement.
James took a deep breath before blurting out, “For the last few days, we’ve been receiving invitations from nearly every pack in the region. Gifts, meeting requests, it’s crazy, there are even covens sending their regards. It’s become overwhelming.”
Lora looked up at Azriel, her brow furrowed in confusion. “What’s all this about?”
Azriel chuckled softly, squeezing her hand. “It’s not surprising, my love. The events of the battle have spread far and wide. Word has gotten out about what happened, and now everyone wants to get close to you.”

“Close to me?” Lora’s voice was laced with disbelief.
Azriel nodded, amused by her reaction. “Of course, my dove. You saved everyone. Packs, covens, even independent factions, everyone knows what you did. And everyone wants an alliance with the strongest.”
Lora’s cheeks flushed with modesty as she shook her head slightly. “But I can’t meet with everyone
…
“I know,” Azriel replied, his voice soothing. “You don’t have to worry about it.”
James cleared his throat, drawing their attention back to him. “What should I tell them in the meantime? The requests just keep coming. It is insane, your office is like a call-center.”
Azriel turned to his Beta, a knowing smile tugging at his lips. “Tell them that Luna Storm is recovering and spending time with her family. That’s all they need to know for now.”
Lora’s concern deepened. “Won’t they be offended? I don’t want to create tension…”
Azriel brushed a stray lock of hair from her face, his thumb grazing her cheek. “Trust me, we’ve got this covered.”
“How?” she asked, her eyes searching his, curious but trusting.
Azriel’s smile widened. “I wanted this to be a surprise, but Markus has decided to organize a ball in your honor.”
Lora blinked, stunned. “A ball? In my honor?”
Azriel chuckled, clearly enjoying her surprise. “Yes, my love. A grand celebration, with all the packs invited and even the important covens. It’ll give everyone a chance to see you, thank you, and be in your presence. But it’ll be on your terms. In this way we control the when and how.”
Lora’s mouth parted in shock, processing the news. “I… I don’t even know what to say.”
Azriel leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. “You don’t have to say anything. You’ve already done enough. Now, it’s time for you to be celebrated.”
James gave a small smile, clearly relieved that he could now handle the flood of requests. “I’ll take care of it, Alpha. And Luna, I’m sure the ball will be an event to remember.”
Lora, still processing, nodded and smiled gratefully. “Thank you, James.”
As the Beta walked away to deal with the logistics, Lora turned back to Azriel, still in awe of everything. “A ball, huh?”
Azriel shrugged playfully. “You deserve it.”

She laughed softly, shaking her head in disbelief. “I guess I better start preparing.”
Azriel’s eyes twinkled with affection as he whispered, “You’re already perfect as you are.”
