Family Day-1

Lora woke up in the soft morning light, her body nestled against Azriel’s warmth, his strong arms wrapped protectively around her. She sighed in contentment, still amazed at how safe and whole she felt with him by her side. Slowly opening her eyes, she looked up at his face, expecting to find his side of the bed empty, as it often was with his early duties as Alpha.

But to her surprise, Azriel was still there, sleeping peacefully. A small smile crept across her lips as she gently traced a finger along his jawline. He stirred, his eyes fluttering open, and a smirk appeared on his face as soon as he saw her.

“You’re still here,” Lora whispered, a little astonished, her voice laced with delight.

Azriel chuckled softly, pulling her closer. “And why wouldn’t I be?”

“But… the Pack,” she said, trying to mask the excitement in her voice. “You’re always up at the

crack of dawn, handling pack affairs, training, business deals.”

Azriel rolled onto his back, looking at her with those deep, dark blue-grey eyes that always made

her heart skip a beat. “The pack can wait, Luna. That’s why we have a Beta, a Gamma, and a Delta,

to deputize and manage things when necessary.”

She smiled, her heart swelling with joy. “So, what are you saying?” she teased, though the

anticipation already bubbled in her chest.

“I’m saying that we deserve a day together, just you, me, and our pups.” His voice was filled with a

certainty that made Lora’s heart flutter. “We need it. And I think the pack can manage for one day without me breathing down their necks.”

Lora giggled as she leaned in, kissing him passionately. The kiss deepened, their lips moving with a

hunger that had been rekindled in their time apart. His hands slid down her back, pulling her flush

against him as her breath hitched in her throat. The familiar heat between them began to rise, and Lora found herself melting into his touch, craving more of him, despite feeling sore from last night. She tangled her fingers in his hair, his kisses growing hungrier as they lost themselves in each

other.

But before things could escalate any further, a sudden thud jolted them from their passion. Lora gasped, instinctively pulling the blanket up to cover her bare body as the door swung open.

“Daddy!” came the excited squeal.

Both Lora and Azriel froze for a moment, their heads whipping towards the doorway where little Asher stood, beaming with energy and innocence.

Family Day 1

Azriel chuckled heartily, breaking the moment of shock. “Well, good morning, little warrior,” he said, his deep voice full of amusement as he scooped Asher up into his arms.

Asher laughed joyously as he was lifted, completely oblivious to the flustered state of his parents. Lora, still mortified, tried to gather the sheet around her more securely, her cheeks flushing with

embarrassment..

“Azriel…” she whispered harshly, though she couldn’t help but laugh a little herself.

Azriel winked at her as if to say *It’s fine* and turned his attention back to their son. “What’s up, buddy? Ready to take on the day?”

Asher, full of excitement and wiggling in his father’s arms, exclaimed, “I want to play, Daddy! Can

we play?”

“Of course, we can, little man,” Azriel replied, pressing a kiss to Asher’s head. “Let’s give Mommy some time to get dressed first though, yeah?”

Asher nodded enthusiastically, not picking up on any of the awkwardness that Lora felt. As Azriel carried him toward the door, he shot Lora a playful grin. “I’ll be right back, my love. Don’t go

anywhere.”

Lora gave a dramatic sigh of relief once the door clicked shut, laughing softly to herself. She wrapped the blanket tighter around her, shaking her head in amusement. Asher had impeccable timing, as always. Despite always asking him to knock and not enter without permission, there are

still moments like this one.

The soft morning light streamed through the curtains as Lora slipped into a robe, her heart still warm from waking up in Azriel’s arms. She padded down the hallway towards the twins’ room, where soft giggles could already be heard. Opening the door, she was greeted by the sight of Mako and Tayo, her precious little ones, beaming with joy as they gurgled happily in their crib.
