Attack! 1

Attack!-1

Lora’s heart raced as she moved silently down the dark corridor, her mind focused on one thing:

escape. But just as she rounded a corner, a loud, blaring alarm shattered the eerie quiet. The

piercing sound echoed through the stone walls of the complex, followed by the unmistakable

sound of rushing feet and shouting voices.

Her pulse quickened as she pressed herself against the wall, her senses alert as chaos erupted

around her. The lycans were rushing, probably assuming the alarm was some sort of drill or attack.

“This is our chance,” Tara urged in her mind, her voice steady and determined. “We need to move

now, while they’re distracted.”

Lora took a deep breath, steeling her nerves. She darted down the hall, keeping low, every muscle in her body tensed and ready for anything. The sound of boots stomping past her grew louder, and

she ducked into a small alcove just as a group of lycans charged by, barking orders to each other.

Her heart thundered in her chest as she waited, holding her breath until they passed.

“Go!” Tara’s voice broke through her fear, and Lora sprang into action again, moving swiftly and

carefully through the maze of hallways.

Several tense moments passed when she almost got caught, narrowly ducking behind corners, hiding in the shadows as lycans raced by, but she remained undetected. The alarm was her salvation, a distraction in the madness that gave her the opportunity she needed. She moved faster, the sound of her bare feet barely registering on the cold stone floor.

Finally, she spotted a door leading outside. She pushed through it with trembling hands and stepped into the open air, but the sight that greeted her made her freeze in place.

Her heart stopped.

Stretching out before her was a terrifying sight: an entire lycan army, lined up in perfect formation, their faces grim and ready for battle. Their numbers were vast, and each of them exuded an overwhelming sense of power and dominance. They looked unstoppable, a deadly force prepared

to crush anyone in their path.

But what caught Lora’s attention even more was the army gathered on the other side. Werewolves and vampires, united in a way that was almost unheard of, stood together in opposition to the lycan forces. Her heart clenched in her chest when her eyes landed on the two figures leading the

werewolf ranks: Markus and Azriel.

Azriel.

Her mate stood at the front, his aura of dominance even more palpable from this distance. His

face was a mask of fury and determination, his eyes blazing with the need to protect and reclaim what was his. Beside him, Markus stood tall, equally fierce, leading his troops into what was sure to be a brutal battle. The tension in the air was thick enough to suffocate her.

Lora’s breath caught in her throat as she spotted Rome, the other twin lycan, Han’s brother,

standing at the forefront of the lycan army. His eyes gleamed with malice and cruelty, and even

from where she stood, Lora could see the wicked grin plastered on his face as he taunted the werewolf and vampire ranks.

“Come on then, Alpha,” Rome sneered, his voice dripping with arrogance. “Show me how much you

care for your little Luna. I wonder how she’ll feel when she watches you fall before her eyes.”

Lora’s blood ran cold. Rome’s words were like a dagger to her chest, a cruel reminder of what had

almost happened to her. Her hands trembled, and she could feel Tara growling within her, both

furious and protective.

Azriel’s response was immediate, his deep voice carrying across the battlefield. “You will regret the day you crossed into Stormheart territory,” he snarled, his fury barely contained. His eyes blazed with the ferocity of a mate whose bond had been violated. “I will end you.”

Rome laughed mockingly, his face twisted in amusement. “Big words for an Alpha who couldn’t even protect his own mate,” he taunted further. “I’ve tasted her fear, you know. She’ll beg for mercy before the end. Maybe I will even put a pup inside her.”

Lora’s heart sank as she watched, helpless from the sidelines. She wanted to scream, to tell Azriel

that she was there, that she was fighting her own battle, but the words wouldn’t come. She was frozen, caught between fear for the loves ones and rage.
