Fury … Omega’s Fury!-2

“What are you?! You… you’re supposed to be weak..” Han stammered, but his voice was strangled

by his own horror, his words choking in his throat as the realization sank in. He wasn’t invincible. He wasn’t the one in control anymore.

Lora’s chest heaved with heavy breaths, her body shaking with the aftershock of what she had just

unleashed. She had no idea where that power had come from, but it didn’t matter now. She had

fought back. She survived.

“We did it, Tara,” Lora whispered, her mind still reeling from the sheer force of the power she had

just unleashed.

Tara’s voice was strong, filled with pride and solidarity. “We did it, Lora. Together.”

But there was no time for relief, no moment of respite. Han was on the ground, writhing in agony,

but he wasn’t dead. Not yet.

After what felt like an eternity, something horrific began to unfold before Lora’s eyes. Han’s body,

which had been writhing in agony, started to deteriorate rapidly. His flesh seemed to bubble and

tear from the inside, black veins pulsating grotesquely under his skin. Lora could only watch in

shock as the veins spread further, corrupting everything they touched, turning his body into a

grotesque display of decomposition.

Han’s screams turned into wet, choking gurgles as his skin sloughed off, revealing layers of decaying muscle and bone beneath. His body was being torn apart from within, a sickening sight

that made Lora’s stomach churn. She backed away, unable to look away as the scene unfolded in

front of her, and then, his body collapsed entirely. Flesh fell away in chunks, leaving behind only a

pile of minced meat, bones, and tendrils of black veins coiled around the remains like a grotesque

web.

Lora’s breath hitched, and the nausea she’d been holding back overwhelmed her. She staggered back, throwing up as the stench of decaying flesh filled the air. The scene was horrifying, even

more so than she could’ve imagined. She wiped her mouth, her body shaking from the shock of it

all.

Tara’s* voice cut through her daze, calm but with a sense of grim satisfaction. *”It seems we don’t need the dispelling poems after all,” her wolf remarked.

Lora nodded, still gagging from the lingering bile in her throat. She wiped the tears from her eyes, steadied herself, and tried to focus on what was ahead. “Yes… but that was just one of them.” Her voice shook as she replied. “We still have an army outside.”

Tara growled in response, her strength a steadying presence in Lora’s mind. “And we will kill every

single one of them. One by one, Lora. We will take them one by one. But first, let’s get the hell out of

here. Let’s find our mate.”

Nodding in determination, Lora moved quickly to the door. Her hands trembled slightly as she

grabbed the handle, but she forced herself to remain steady. Opening it slowly, she peered into the

dimly lit corridor beyond. It was eerily quiet, the oppressive silence only broken by the faint sound

of distant footsteps, likely the patrols of the lycans that still roamed the halls.

Lora’s heart pounded in her chest as she slipped through the doorway. Her senses were heightened, every nerve alert as she carefully navigated the darkened hallway. The shadows seemed to stretch on endlessly, but she couldn’t afford to lose focus.

“Stay low, stay quiet,” Tara advised, her voice a soft whisper in Lora’s mind.

The corridor was narrow, lit only by a faint flickering light that cast long, twisted shadows against the stone walls. Every sound echoed unnervingly, making it feel like the entire building was alive

with the tension of her escape. Lora crept along, her bare feet barely making a sound on the cold

floor.

As she made her way further down, she could hear distant voices, guards, no doubt. She flattened

herself against the wall, taking a moment to breathe and listen. They were speaking in low tones, laughing about something she couldn’t quite make out, but they were getting closer.

“Now or never,” Tara growled.

Lora nodded and moved quickly, slipping into an adjacent room just as the guards passed by. She

pressed herself against the wall, her breath shallow as she waited for them to move out of

earshot. Her heart pounded, but she managed to stay calm.

When the voices finally faded, she continued down the corridor, moving with purpose now. Every

muscle in her body was tense, but her resolve was stronger than ever. She had to get out. She had

to survive for her mate, family, her pack, and most of all, for herself. She would not be a victim

anymore. She was Fury … Omega’s Fury!
