Attack! 2

Attack!-2

As she studied the two armies, her horror deepened. Despite the courage and strength of the

werewolves and vampires, it was clear the lycans had the advantage. They were bigger, stronger,

and there were more of them. Even with the alliance of two supernatural races, the lycans were

formidable foes, and they would tear through the ranks with little difficulty.

Her eyes darted between the two sides, anxiety rising in her chest as she realized the terrible truth

there would be bloodshed. A lot of it. And Azriel, her mate, was in the center of it all.

“What do we do?” Lora whispered in her mind, her heart racing as she watched the armies prepare

for battle.

Lora crouched in the shadows, her heart racing as the sight of the two armies facing each other

weighed heavily on her mind. The ground beneath her feet trembled, both from the sheer power of the lycan army and the desperate determination of the werewolves and vampires standing against them. But as Tara had pointed out, their side had little chance.

“This is a suicide battle,” Lora realized, terror gripping her heart as her eyes darted between the two

forces. She could see Azriel at the forefront, his face contorted with fury, and next to him stood Markus, equally determined yet burdened with the knowledge of the fight they faced.

“Tara,” Lora whispered in her mind, “They’re not a match for the lycans. We can’t win.”

Tara growled softly in response, a mix of pain and resignation in her voice. “You’re right, Lora. Their strength is overwhelming. Even with our side’s numbers, it won’t be enough. Our only chance is the Omega Fury.”

Lora swallowed hard. The Fury, the raw, uncontrolled force she had only just begun to understand,

was their only hope. She had seen firsthand what it could do to Han, how it could obliterate a lycan

from the inside out. But this time, it will be different. It wasn’t just one lycan she needed to fight, it was an entire army. And the strain on her body… it could kill her, she could feel it in her bones.

“Let’s do it,” Lora said, her voice trembling but filled with resolve.

Tara hesitated, sensing the weight of Lora’s decision. “The strain will be unbelievable, Lora. It could

tear you apart. You may not survive.”

Tears welled up in Lora’s eyes, blurring her vision of the battlefield below. “Azriel came for me,” she

whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “He came knowing it was a suicide mission, knowing he

might not make it. He did it for me, for our sons, for our pack. How can I not do the same? Even if I don’t survive, I’ll take down as many of those monsters as I can.”

Tara growled softly, a mixture of pride and sorrow in her tone. “It’s been an honor, Lora. It is an

honor to be paired with someone as selfless as you. We fight together, now and always.”

Determined, Lora crouched lower, knowing she had to stay hidden if she wanted to unleash her

power without being stopped. She closed her eyes, steadying her breath as she reached deep

inside herself, calling forth all the pain, the anger, the heartbreak she had endured. Memories flooded her mind, the horror of her capture, the cruelty of Han and Rome, the desperation of

knowing her mate was out there, fighting for her, dying for her.

Her chest tightened as the red haze began to rise, enveloping her mind. She focused all of her

anguish into it, letting the fury build like a storm. Her first victim was a lycan standing at the edge

of the battlefield, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of weakness in the enemy forces.

Without warning, his body convulsed violently, black veins rapidly spreading across his skin as the

Omega Fury consumed him from the inside. His comrades looked on in confusion, not

understanding what was happening, until one by one, they too began to succumb to the same

horrific fate.

Lora’s eyes shot open, glowing with an otherworldly intensity as the Fury spread like wildfire. She

remained hidden in the shadows, watching in grim satisfaction as more and more lycans fell, their

bodies contorting and collapsing into grotesque heaps of flesh and bone, consumed by the black

veins that signaled their doom.

The battlefield fell into chaos as the lycans, once confident in their overwhelming strength, now

recoiled in horror at the sight of their comrades falling apart before their eyes. Screams of agony echoed across the field as more and more lycans were infected, their bodies decomposing in a gruesome display of death and decay.

Rome, standing at the forefront of his army, watched in disbelief as his soldiers fell one by one. His

eyes narrowed, filled with both fury and confusion as he turned his gaze toward Azriel and Markus.

“What the hell are you doing to my people, you bastards?” Rome roared, his voice filled with venom

as he took a threatening step toward them.

Azriel stood tall, his eyes burning with the same fury that consumed Lora from the shadows. He had no idea what was happening, no one did, but he knew that whatever it was, it was tearing through the lycan forces with a vengeance.

Markus glanced at Azriel, sensing the same unease. “This… this isn’t us,” he muttered, his voice barely audible as he tried to make sense of the situation.

But Lora, hidden and unseen, knew exactly what was happening. The Fury had taken hold, and there was no stopping it now. She could feel the strain building inside her, her body trembling as the power surged through her, but she refused to stop. Not until the lycans were defeated. Not

until Azriel was safe.

“Hold on, Tara,” she whispered to her wolf, her voice strained with effort. “We can do this.”

Tara growled in approval. “One by one, Lora. We’ll take them down, one by one.”

Rome’s furious gaze locked onto Azriel and Markus, his sharp features twisted in rage as he bared his teeth, emitting a low, rumbling growl that reverberated through the battlefield. The sight of his soldiers falling in grotesque, unnatural ways fueled his anger, and his patience finally snapped.

With an ear-splitting roar, Rome launched himself toward the werewolf ranks, his massive lycan form shifting in the blink of an eye. His powerful muscles rippled beneath his fur as he charged forward, claws outstretched, eyes burning with the madness of revenge. The werewolves barely had time to brace for the impact before he was upon them, a terrifying whirlwind of claws and

fangs.

“Attack!” Rome’s voice boomed across the field, signaling the start of the battle.

In an instant, the lycan army followed their leader’s command, rushing forward like a tidal wave of fury and violence. The ground quaked beneath the pounding of thousands of feet as the lycans descended upon the werewolf and vampire forces.
