The Inner Truth-2

There was a pause, and then Tara let out a low, painful whine. “Oh, Lora… you silly, beautiful soul. You don’t need to protect me like this. We’re one. We’re bound together, and nothing, nothing, can separate us unless we allow it. The Moon Goddess gave us to each other for a reason. You need to trust in her plan, and you need to trust me. We’re in this together. You’re not alone, and you never will be.”

Lora’s heart squeezed at Tara’s words, and for the first time in what felt like forever, a small spark of hope ignited within her. “But what if I lose control, Tara? What if I hurt the people I love? What if lose myself to the Fury?”

Tara’s voice was firm but comforting. “You won’t lose yourself, Lora. You have me. We’ll keep each

other grounded. We’re stronger together than apart. You need to stop holding back, stop living in fear

of your own power. Embrace it. Embrace all of it, the healer and the Fury. Only then will we be able to

fight back and protect those we love.”

Lora closed her eyes, her tears slowly subsiding as she took a deep breath. She knew Tara was

right. She had been living in fear, holding back a part of herself because she didn’t trust her own strength. But she couldn’t afford to be afraid anymore, not when her mate, her sons, and her pack

were counting on her.

“You’re right,” Lora whispered, her voice filled with newfound determination. “I need to embrace all

of me. I need to stop being afraid.”

Tara growled in approval, her spirit lifting alongside Lora’s. “Good. Because we’re going to need

every ounce of strength we have if we’re going to survive this. But we will survive, Lora. And when the

time comes, we’ll show them exactly what it means to cross a white wolf.”

Lora nodded, wiping the last of her tears away as she felt a fire reignite within her. She wasn’t

broke. She wasn’t defeated. She had her wolf, her strength, and her determination, and that was

more powerful than any fear she had ever faced.

“We’ll get through this, Tara, Lora said, her voice steady now. “We’ll fight back, and we’ll make them pay for everything they’ve done.”

“That’s the spirit,” Tara growled, a hint of pride in her voice. *”Now, let’s rest. We’ll need all our strength when the time comes.”

As Lora sat there in the silence of her cell, she no longer felt alone. Tara’s presence was a steady pulse within her, a reminder of her own resilience and power.

After some time, Lora’s heart pounded in her chest as she heard the door unlocking. Her body

tensed, expecting to see someone bringing food, but the moment Han stepped inside, dread consumed her. His eyes, wild and unstable, sent a chill through her spine. She could tell immediately it was him, despite being an identical twin; unlike his brother Rome, whose demeanor was more controlled, Han exuded madness, a dangerous unpredictability that made her blood run cold.

“Hello, little Luna,” he sneered, his grin wide and unhinged as he approached her, his presence filling the room like a storm cloud. Lora pressed her back against the wall, her muscles stiff with fear, trying to make herself as small as possible. But there was no escape. She was cornered, trapped like prey, and Han was the predator stalking closer, feeding off her terror.

She barely had time to react before, in a flash of speed, Han was in front of her. His large hand pressed against her throat, claws grazing her skin, forcing her body hard against the cold stone wall. Lora gasped, frozen, her breath shallow and ragged as her pulse raced with panic.

Han chuckled darkly, clearly enjoying the way her body trembled under his touch. His claws traced the delicate line of her collarbone, and she flinched, the sharp tip of one claw piercing her skin just enough to draw blood. The sting was sharp, but she bit her lip, refusing to cry out. “Tara, don’t heal

me,” Lora whispered in her mind, desperation creeping into her voice. “They don’t need to know

you’re back.”
