The Inner Truth-1

Lora sat in the cold cell, her heart pounding as she tried to comprehend what Tara was telling her.

The silence around her felt suffocating, but within her mind, her wolf’s voice echoed loudly. She

was confused, angry, and desperate for answers, answers that Tara was now forcing her to

confront.

“Why couldn’t I use the Omega’s Fury?” Lora asked again, this time with a mixture of frustration and anguish in her voice. She replayed the horrors of what had happened in her mind, remembering the way the Lycans had touched her, the way her body had frozen in place when she needed it to fight back. “Tara, they touched me. They dishonored me. They damaged our mate bond! Why couldn’t I

stop them?”

Tara growled lowly in response, her voice steady but tinged with an undercurrent of frustration. “Lo ra, you’re not listening. I know you felt the rage, but you misunderstood what it truly means to wield

that power.”

Lora’s heart raced, and her eyes filled with tears as she struggled to make sense of it all. *”What do you mean? I felt everything! The pain, the humiliation, the fury inside me, I wanted to kill them, Tara. How could I have gotten it wrong?”

Tara’s growl softened into something more patient, though firm. “You’ve been given two abilities by the Goddess, Lora: the Goddess Gift and the Omega’s Fury. Both are rooted deeply in your emotions, but they require more than just feeling anger or desperation. They require true acceptance and complete control over yourself. You haven’t fully embraced the Fury.”*

Lora’s frustration deepened, and she shook her head as if trying to reject Tara’s words. “That’s not true. I’ve embraced it. I’ve used it before! I’ve fought before!”

“You have,” Tara agreed, “but not completely. You’ve embraced your healing powers without hesitation. That part of you, the nurturer, the healer, is something you’ve always welcomed. But the

Fury… the Fury frightens you.”

Lora’s breath caught in her throat. “No, I’m not scared of it. I just-”

“Yes, you are,” Tara interrupted gently but firmly. “You’re afraid of what the Fury could do, not just to your enemies, but to those around you. You’ve erected a barrier inside yourself, Lora, holding back the destructive power because you fear losing control. You fear becoming something too dangerous for

even those you love to handle.”

Lora’s head spun as Tara’s words sank in. A knot of tension coiled in her chest, and she felt a wave of guilt wash over her. Deep down, she knew Tara was right. She had always been cautious of the Fury, always afraid of what it could unleash. She had seen how dangerous it could be when used

recklessly, and she had feared losing herself to that raw, destructive power.

Tears welled in Lora’s eyes. “Tara… help me. Please, help me.” Her voice cracked as she spoke, the vulnerability in her tone undeniable.

Tara growled softly, a sound of reassurance and loyalty. “I’m doing everything I can, Lora. But you need to understand something, because you’re a white wolf, you have the strength to contain your full power. But you’re only holding yourself back by keeping me at a distance, by keeping the Fury locked away. You need to trust me, too. Sometimes, I feel you hesitate even with me, like you’re afraid of what might happen if we truly work as one.”

Lora’s tears flowed freely now, and she felt a deep ache in her chest as the truth finally surfaced. I’m afraid, Tara,” she admitted in a whisper, her voice breaking with emotion.

“Afraid of what?” Tara asked gently, her tone filled with understanding.

“Afraid of losing you.” Lora’s voice trembled. “You were my second chance. My first wolf,… she sacrificed herself for me, and when you came into my life, I promised I would never let anything happen to you. You’re so precious to me, Tara. I can’t bear the thought of losing you too.”
