Coming for You-2

Kaia gasped, covering her mouth in shock, while Markus paled, realizing the grim truth. The tension in the room deepened as everyone around him understood the implications.

“I’m going to kill them,” Azriel whispered, his voice a deadly promise. His entire body trembled with the force of his fury. “I’m going to tear them apart, limb by limb.”

Markus placed a steadying hand on Azriel’s shoulder, though his own expression mirrored the shock and anger that Azriel felt. “We will. We’ll get her back. But we need to think clearly right now, brother. For Lora’s sake, and for your sons. Even if we approach them, we don’t have a weapon to attack. Our only hope was the Dispell Poems, but that chance is gone.”

Azriel’s roar echoed through the room, shaking the walls and sending a shiver down every wolf’s spine. His voice was raw with pain and fury, the sound of a man on the brink of losing everything. don’t care!” he shouted, his eyes glowing dangerously. “I’ll get Lora back, even if it kills me!”

Kaia, his sister, flinched at the intensity of his words, her own face contorted with concern. “What

are you saying, brother?” she pleaded, stepping forward, her eyes filled with both love and fear. But

before she could say more, Azriel cut her off sharply.

“Kaia, I can’t…” His voice cracked, his emotions barely held in check. “If I lose her, I’ll go feral. You

know it, and I know it. I can’t take her loss. I can’t live without her.”

Kaia’s breath hitched in her throat, her heart breaking as she watched her brother unravel before

her eyes. “Think about your sons!” she shouted, her voice thick with frustration and grief. “They need you, Azriel! If you go now, you might never come back!”

Azriel’s expression twisted, torn between his responsibility as a father and his desperation as a mate. “I am thinking about them, Kaia,” he snapped, his voice quieter but no less fierce. “But how can I look them in the eyes knowing I abandoned their mother? How can I ever face them with the knowledge that I was too much of a coward to go after her? Never!”

The silence that followed his words was suffocating. Kaia’s eyes filled with tears, her tough exterior cracking as the reality of the situation sank in. Her brother was prepared to throw himself into a suicide mission, and nothing she could say would change his mind. She knew Azriel too well, his love for Lora ran too deep, and the mate bond too strong. He couldn’t live without her.

“Azriel…” Kaia’s voice trembled, tears finally spilling down her cheeks. She understood the depth of his pain, and she knew there was no stopping him. He was a man ready to sacrifice everything.

Azriel turned away from her, his face hardening once again as he focused on Markus, his closest friend and his King. “What do we know about them? Where are they hiding?” His tone was all

business now, a man gearing up for war.

Markus met his gaze, his own face lined with tension. He knew what Azriel was asking, not just for information, but for the path to what might be his final fight. Markus had known Azriel long enough to understand that once he made up his mind, there was no turning back.

After a long, heavy pause, Markus finally spoke. “They’re operating under the name Rivermate. They’ve been lurking in the shadows for a while now, hiding in human territory. That’s where they’ve taken her, most probably. Their headquarters and training grounds are in an old military base.”

Azriel nodded, his fists clenched at his sides as he processed the information. “Are you sure about this?” he asked, his voice a low, dangerous growl.

Markus nodded, his eyes hard with resolve. “Yes, Azriel. We’ve been tracking their movements for

some time now. This is where they’ve made their base.”

Azriel’s jaw tightened as he prepared himself mentally for what was to come. “Then I’m going to bring my mate back,” he said, his voice filled with cold determination.

Markus, however, wasn’t about to let him rush into this alone. “Azriel, we need time to coordinate

the attack. You can’t just go in there by yourself.”‘”

But Azriel’s response was immediate, his resolve unwavering. “No. I’ll go by myself.”

Markus narrowed his eyes, his voice rising with frustration. “The hell you will. We’re in this together,

and we’ve known from the start that this confrontation with the Lycans was inevitable. We can’t

afford to be reckless.”

Azriel’s gaze darkened, but before he could protest again, Markus continued, his tone firm and

commanding. “Layzal has already deployed his troops. We’re moving on them now. This isn’t just

about you or Lora anymore: this is war, Azriel. You can’t do this alone. They are a threat to

everyone, is not only personal.”

Azriel’s breath came in sharp, shallow bursts, his hands shaking with barely restrained fury. He knew Markus was right. This was no longer just a rescue mission; it was a full-scale attack. The Lycans had crossed a line that couldn’t be ignored, and it was just a matter of time until things escalated, and the packs’ survival depended on their swift and decisive action.

Markus stepped closer, his voice quieter but no less determined. “We’ll get her back, Azriel. But we need to be smart about this. This is a fight for our entire species, for our future. And we fight together.”

Azriel took a deep breath, his chest still aching with the hollow pain of Lora’s absence. His eyes flickered with emotion as he looked at his best friend, then to his sister, who was silently weeping

in the corner. His gaze finally landed on his pack members, all of whom stood ready for battle, their faces grim but resolute.

He exhaled slowly, letting go of a fraction of his rage, though the fire still burned fiercely within him. “Fine,” he said through gritted teeth. “But I’m leading the charge.”

Markus gave a single nod of agreement. “Of course.”

The room buzzed with a renewed sense of purpose as everyone moved swiftly into action, preparing for the coming battle. The Stormheart Pack was ready for war..

Azriel stood still for a moment, staring out the window at the darkening sky, his mind swirling with

thoughts of Lora. His heart ached with every second that passed without her by his side, but he

knew he couldn’t let his emotions cloud his judgment. He would fight. He would tear the Lycans

apart to get his mate back.

“Hold on, Lora,” he whispered under his breath, his voice filled with both love and fury. “I’m coming

for you.
