Coming for You-1

Back at the Stormheart Pack, the entire pack was on full alert, a whirlwind of activity driven by a mix of rage, fear, and desperation. Wolves moved in and out of the main hall, their faces grim and determined. Yet no one bore the weight of the situation more heavily than their Alpha, Azriel. He was the center of the storm, his fury barely contained as he paced the room, every muscle tense,

his aura crackling with raw, unchecked power.

Azriel’s eyes were wild, glowing with the threat of losing control. His inner wolf, Thunder, prowled restlessly within him, snarling and clawing at the edges of his mind, desperate to break free. He barely kept his wolf in check, held back only by the responsibility to his sons and his pack.

Markus and Kaia had arrived just half an hour ago, their faces a reflection of the same anxiety gripping everyone else in the room. Kaia, Azriel’s sister and Queen, stood with her arms crossed, her expression full with worry.

But no matter how much support surrounded Azriel, no one could understand the sheer magnitude of his torment. His mate, his Luna, Lora, had been taken. And the worst part? She was gone from their bed while he slept beside her, completely unaware. That thought alone gnawed at his soul, festering like a wound he couldn’t heal.

His Beta James, Delta, Tim, and his Gamma Sky, were nearby, keeping their distance yet ready to act on any command. Everyone was agitated, the tension in the room thick and suffocating. It was as if the air itself had become heavier, suffused with Azriel’s growing rage.

Markus, his best friend and King with his jaw clenched, spoke up, trying to inject some sense into the storm of emotions swirling in the room. “Azriel, we’ll find her. We need to focus on the plan-”

But before Markus could finish, Azriel suddenly gasped, a sharp cry escaping his lips. His hand flew to his chest, his face contorted in agony. The room froze. He dropped to his knees, the full weight of his pain crashing down like a sledgehammer, sending a ripple of panic through everyone

present.

“Azriel!” Kaia’s voice was filled with alarm as she rushed toward him. Markus was at his side in an

instant, while Tim, James and Sky stood rooted in place, their faces etched with horror.

Azriel gripped his chest, his breath coming in short, painful gasps as though something was clawing him from the inside out. The searing pain twisted through his body like a vicious, burning rope, coiling tighter with every second. His vision blurred, and for a moment, all he could feel was

the overwhelming agony tearing at his soul.

In his mind, Thunder howled in anguish, his voice raw and feral. *”Azriel… she’s betraying the bond.

They’re… touching her. Our mate is in pain. They’re forcing her…”*

Azriel’s blood ran cold, his heart stopping for a moment as Thunder’s words sunk in. His hands,

trembled as he fought to control the tidal wave of rage and sorrow threatening to consume him.

His breath came in ragged gasps as realization hit him like a blade to the chest.

“No,” Azriel whispered, his voice breaking as the sheer weight of the situation became too much to

bear. “No… it can’t be… Thunder, are you sure?” he asked desperately, his voice barely audible.

*”The bond… it’s fraying. We can feel her pain.”* Thunder growled, his voice laced with sorrow and fury. *”They’re forcing her to betray the mate bond.”*

Azriel’s eyes filled with a mix of horror and rage. He gripped his chest tighter as the searing ache in

his heart grew unbearable. His mind raced with images of Lora, his beautiful, strong, and kind mate, suffering at the hands of those monsters. The very thought of her enduring such a violation

tore him apart.

Markus crouched beside him, his face lined with concern. “Azriel, what’s happening? Tell me.”

Azriel struggled to find the words, his voice hoarse as he fought back tears. “I… I can feel it… I can feel our bond… straining. There’s pain in my chest, Markus. They… they’re hurting her.”
