Late Night Visit-3
Azriel met James’s intense gaze, his own expression hard but thoughtful. He understood the rage
simrnering in his Beta, in all of them, but he also knew the complexities that lay beneath the
surface of this situation.
“As much as I would like to see him publicly punished, to make his crimes known to everyone, it’s not that simple,” Azriel said, his words causing James to frown in confusion. Sky and Tim exchanged uneasy glances, sensing the gravity in Azriel’s tone.
“What do you mean?” Sky asked, his curiosity mixed with concern.
Azriel continued, his eyes darkening with the weight of the responsibility he carried. “The pack has finally started to rebound after the attack that nearly destroyed us. We’ve worked hard to rebuild, to move forward. If we were to bring this to light now, to reopen those wounds that have only just begun to heal, it could cause unnecessary pain and grief. It could tear us apart again.”
James clenched his fists, still not fully understanding. “But people have a right to know! They
deserve to see justice done!”
Azriel nodded, understanding James’s perspective but knowing there was more at stake. “I agree that justice needs to be served. But there’s more to this than just punishing him publicly. His identity… It’s not just any rogue or enemy we’re dealing with here. His exposure could bring other skeletons out of the closet, things that could do more harm than good to the entire werewolf
community.”
Sky leaned forward, his expression serious. “What do you mean, Azriel?”
Azriel sighed deeply, the burden of what he was about to reveal weighing heavily on him. “His identity will be surprising to everyone,” Azriel said, his voice low.
James, impatient and anxious, pressed on. “Who is he, Azriel? Who’s the man that’s caused us so much pain?”
There was a pause, a heartbeat where the room seemed to hold its breath. Azriel looked at each of them in turn, the gravity of his next words hanging in the air like a storm about to break. “Councilor Stone,” he finally said, the name falling heavily from his lips.
“What?!” The exclamation was a mixture of disbelief, shock, and outrage as the three men reacted simultaneously, their voices echoing off the walls.
“How is this possible?” Tim asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
Azriel’s expression was somber, yet resolute. “It’s a long story, one that I will explain in detail

tomorrow. But for now, I need you all to trust me. This situation is more complex than any could have imagined, and revealing everything now would only cause chaos and heartbreak. We need to handle this carefully, for the sake of the pack., especially as no one knows that he is here, captive.”
There was a long silence as the weight of Azriel’s words settled in. The room was filled with tension, disbelief still etched on their faces.
Finally, James nodded, though his face was still tight with anger. “We trust you, Azriel Just… don’t leave us in the dark for too long.”
Sky and Tim nodded in agreement, their expressions serious. “We’re with you, Alpha,” Sky said, his voice steady. “Whatever you need from us, we’re ready.”

“Thank you,” Azriel said, genuinely grateful for their support. “I’ll explain everything tomorrow. But for now, get some rest. We have a lot to prepare for.”
With that, the three men bid him good night, their minds still reeling from the revelations.
Once the door closed behind them, Azriel stood in silence for a moment, gathering his thoughts. The weight of the decisions he had to make bore down on him, but he knew what had to be done.
Instead of heading to his home, Azriel found his steps leading him towards the dungeon.
Finally, he reached the heavily guarded cell, the one that housed the man who had caused him and
his pack so much suffering. The guards stepped aside, recognizing their Alpha’s grim expression.
Azriel stood before the cell door, staring at the figure inside.
A cold smile played on Azriel’s lips as he spoke, his voice laced with sarcasm. “I hope you’re
enjoying the Stormheart Pack’s hospitality.”
