Prisoner-1
Lora and Azriel stepped out of the helicopter, the cool air of the vampire coven brushing against their skin. The coven, hidden deep within a mountain range, was a fortress of ancient stone, its towers and spires blending seamlessly into the rugged landscape. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the ground, adding to the eerie atmosphere that surrounded them.
Layzal, the Vampire Prince, awaited them at the entrance. Tall, with an imposing presence and sharp, aristocratic features, his red eyes glimmered in the dim light as he inclined his head in greeting. His black hair was slicked back, and he wore a dark, elegant suit that matched the
somber mood of the situation.
“Luna Lora, Alpha Azriel,” Layzal greeted them with a deep, respectful bow. “Your presence here is most welcome. We are grateful for your assistance in these dire times.”
Azriel nodded in acknowledgment. “Thank you for the welcome, Layzal. We’ll do what we can to help. We’re here to ensure that this infection is contained and that no more lives are lost.”
Lora, standing beside Azriel, looked at Layzal with determination in her eyes. “Please, lead us to
the infected. Time is of the essence.”
Layzal’s expression grew more serious as he turned to lead them inside the coven. “Follow me.”
They moved through the grand entrance, the heavy wooden doors creaking as they closed behind them. The interior of the coven was a labyrinth of dark hallways and ancient stone walls, lined with torches that flickered ominously. As they walked, Azriel spoke, his voice low and controlled. “How
many are infected?”
Layzal sighed, a hint of frustration and concern in his voice. “Six of my top warriors are infected. Your description for the target helped us immensely; we succeeded in cornering her in a bar close to this coven. She fought fiercely, but without a wolf to protect her, she was easier to overpower.
However, when she realized she was trapped, she started infecting my warriors before we could subdue and lock her away.”
Lora walked in silence beside them, her mind focused on the task at hand. Her wolf, Tara, stirred
within her, a blend of curiosity and caution in her movements. Tara’s voice echoed in her mind,
steady and supportive. *”It will be okay, Lora. You are not the same girl who let others walk over her. You are strong now, a true Luna and your sister doesn’t hold any power anymore.”*
Lora nodded to herself, taking comfort in Tara’s words. She had grown stronger over the years, learning to harness her power, to stand up for herself and those she loved. This was no different. She would do what needed to be done to save these warriors, even if it meant confronting her
past.

As they reached the entrance of the coven’s clinic, Layzal stopped, his expression grave. This is where they are being held. Be careful; the infection has progressed quickly.”
Lora and Azriel exchanged a glance before entering the clinic. Inside, the air was thick with
tension. The infected warriors lay on makeshift beds, their faces pale, veins darkened with the
telltale signs of the mysterious illness. The room was eerily quiet, save for the occasional labored breath from one of the patients.
Lora took a deep breath and moved forward, her resolve hardening. She could feel Tara’s strength
within her, and with Azriel by her side, she knew they could do this. One by one, they approached
the warriors, Lora placing her hands gently on each of them, her healing energy flowing through
her. Azriel stood beside her, his presence steadying, his own power supporting hers.
Minutes stretched into what felt like hours as they worked tirelessly to heal the infected. The strain
of the effort began to show on Lora’s face, her body trembling with exhaustion, but she pushed
through, driven by the need to save these lives. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the last warrior’s breathing returned to normal, the dark veins receding as the infection was purged from
his system.
Lora and Azriel stepped back, both of them breathing heavily, their energy nearly spent. The clinic,
once filled with the ominous presence of death, now seemed lighter, the air less oppressive.
