A Gli of Hope 2
A Glimpse of Hope-2
Kaia nodded, her face pale. “But there’s more, maybe hope,” she continued, her voice trembling slightly. “I saw a young woman with a very small girl, maybe four or five years old. They’re on the run. The woman is going to leave the girl at an orphanage before she runs away herself. I believe that they are connected to the bloodline.”
Azriel, who had been listening intently, leaned forward. “Did you see anything distinct about this orphanage or the location? Anything that could help us identify it?”
Kaia shook her head, frustration evident on her face. “No, it was all so vague. The images were fleeting, like they were shrouded in mist. I couldn’t make out any clear landmarks.”
Lora, sensing Kaia’s frustration, stepped closer and spoke softly. “It’s okay, Kaia. You’re doing your best. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and try to focus on the image again. Maybe something
will come to you.”
Kaia hesitated for a moment but then nodded, trusting Lora’s instincts. She closed her eyes and took a long, slow breath, trying to calm her racing heart and clear her mind. The room fell silent, everyone holding their breath as they waited.
After what felt like an eternity, Kaia’s eyes flew open. “I see it!” she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mixture of relief and urgency. “It’s a big grey church, with two angel statues at the entrance. The orphanage must be there. But I could not read its name.”
Markus’s eyes lit up with hope. “That’s fantastic! It’s not much, but it’s a solid lead. I’ll start the tracking immediately to locate the place. If we can find that orphanage, we might be able to get to the girl before the Lycans do.”
“Can you describe the woman and the girl in more detail?” Azriel asked, his voice calm but intense. “Anything that might help us recognize them?”
Kaia frowned, closing her eyes again briefly, but then shook her head. “It’s not too clear. I’m so sorry. Everything was hazy, like I was looking through fog.”
Markus placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “Don’t be silly, Kaia. You’ve given us enough to go on. We’ll start the tracking right now. At least we have a lead, and that’s more than we had
before.”
Just then, Markus’s phone rang, cutting through the tension in the room. He pulled it out, glancing at the screen, and his expression immediately turned grave as he answered.
“Yes, Layzal,” Markus said, his tone serious. He listened intently, his face growing more somber with each passing second. The room was silent as everyone waited for him to finish the call.

Finally, Markus hung up and turned back to the group, his face tight with worry.
“Lora, Azriel,” Markus said, his voice grave. “Layzal needs you to go to one of the covens immediately. There have been a few more cases of infection, and he needs your help to heal them.
Azriel’s expression darkened with concern. “New cases? How did this happen? Everyone was healed.”
Markus nodded grimly. “Yes, they were just infected as they were capturing Alena. She’s in vampire custody now.”
Lora’s face paled as she processed the news. “Alena… my sister…,” she whispered, her voice filled
with conflict.

Azriel gently took Lora’s hand, squeezing it for comfort. “We’ll deal with this, Lora. First, let’s help those who’ve been infected. We can’t let this disease spread any further.”
Markus nodded in agreement. “We’ll handle the situation here and continue searching for the girl and the church. Lora, Azriel, you’re needed by Layzal. I’ll coordinate with you once we have more
information.”
Lora nodded, her eyes filled with determination. “We’ll do what we can.”
Markus replied solemnly. “Take care, both of you. We’ll stay in touch.”
As Azriel and Lora left to attend to the urgent situation with Layzal, Markus turned back to Kaia,
who was still sitting on the couch, her face drawn with fatigue.
