Battle Plans-2
As the two leaders continued to discuss the details of their impending assault, Kaia remained silent, standing beside Markus and listening intently. The plans were thorough, the strategy sound, yet something gnawed at the edges of her mind. A sense of unease that she couldn’t quite place.
Suddenly, Kaia felt a surge of determination. *What if she could use her ability to gain insight, to confirm or challenge the information they had gathered?* The thought was both exhilarating and terrifying, but she knew she had to try. Without warning, she interrupted the conversation.
“What is the official map and location of the Lycans?” Kaia asked, her voice steady but laced with
urgency.
Layzal and Markus exchanged a glance, the Vampire Prince raising an eyebrow in intrigue. “The
Canadian territory,” Markus replied, unrolling a large map on the table before them. He pointed to a
region in northern Canada, a vast wilderness marked with dense forests and mountains. “We believe they’re hiding here, in these remote areas.”
Kaia nodded, her eyes fixed on the map. “I want to try something,” she murmured, her tone making
it clear that this was more than just a casual request.
Markus stepped back, giving her space, while Layzal watched with a mix of curiosity and
skepticism. Lora, understanding what Kaia was about to attempt, placed a comforting hand on her
shoulder and whispered, “Remember what I taught you. Focus, clear your mind.”
Kaia took a deep breath, closing her eyes and blocking out all distractions. She closed her mind
link and cleared her mind, letting go of the tension and fear that had been building up inside her.
Then, she reached out, placing her hand on the map. At first, nothing happened. The room was
silent.
But then, like a dam breaking, an avalanche of images flooded her mind. Visions of dark forests, of
Lycan warriors lurking in the shadows, of bloodshed and carnage. The images shifted rapidly,
showing her not only the location of the Lycans, but also their true intentions. She saw them
moving, retreating from the Canadian wilderness, leaving behind false trails and setting up decoys.
And then, in a terrifying instant, she saw where they were really located, closer to home than anyone had anticipated.
Kaia snapped out of the vision with a scream, her body trembling in fear. The sudden outburst startled everyone in the room. Markus was at her side in an instant, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close. “Kaia, what happened? What did you see?”
Lora, realizing the intensity of the vision, squeezed Kaia’s hand, grounding her. “It’s okay, Kaia. Take a deep breath. Tell us what you saw.”

Kaia took several shaky breaths, trying to steady herself. Her heart was racing, but she knew she’
had to share what she had seen. “If you go to Canada to attack them, it’s a trap,” she said, her voice strained but clear. “The Lycans… they’ve moved. They’re no longer there as they left behind only dark magic traps and a few groups of warriors to detonate once we attack.”
Markus’s eyes narrowed as he processed her words, understanding that she was recounting a
vision, not just a gut feeling. Layzal, however, was less convinced. He crossed his arms, his tone skeptical. “But our scouts confirmed..”
“It’s all smoke and mirrors,” Kaia interrupted, her gaze sharp as she locked eyes with the Vampire
Prince. “They’re deliberately misleading us. The real threat is much closer than we think. If we
follow through with the plan as it stands, we’ll be walking right into their trap. We need a new
approach. They are aware that we are sending scouts.”
The room fell into a heavy silence, the weight of Kaia’s revelation sinking in. Markus looked at her,
his expression unreadable, but she could feel the tension in him. He turned to Layzal, who was clearly struggling with the implications of what Kaia had just shared.
After a moment, Markus spoke, his voice firm. “Kaia’s visions have never been wrong before. We can’t afford to ignore this. We need to rethink our strategy, immediately.”
Layzal hesitated, but seeing the resolve in Markus’s eyes and the fear in Kaia’s, he finally nodded. ”
Very well, it seems that we have a hige advantage having a Seer and a Healer among us. We’ll need
to reexamine all our intelligence and adjust our plans accordingly. But time is of the essence. We
must act swiftly.”
Kaia, still shaken, felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had done what she needed to do, and
now it was up to them to take the next steps.
As Markus, Azriel and Layzal huddled together to discuss the revised strategy, Kaia knew that the
battle ahead would be unlike anything they had faced before. The Lycans were closer than ever, and the real fight was about to begin.
