Confession-3
A wave of terror crossed Councilman Stone’s face. He knew Azriel’s reputation for being merciless and sadistic in dealing with his enemies. “Please… please…” he begged, hoping for a less painful death. He understood that his actions warranted death, but he still harbored a sliver of hope that a trial might grant him life in prison. He had powerful allies, numerous favors, and leverage to use, but his plans were shattered by Azriel’s next words.
“Your Highness,” Azriel said, his voice cold and resolute, “based on the confession and the facts
will take full custody of this prisoner and deal with him personally in my pack.”
Markus nodded. “Very well, Alpha Storm. Your request is granted, and this prisoner is fully at your
discretion.”
Councilman Stone’s eyes widened in horror as the reality of his situation sunk in. “Nooo… I deserve
a public trial,..” he screamed, desperation lacing his voice. His cries were abruptly silenced when
Azriel’s fist connected with his jaw, knocking him unconscious.
“You deserve nothing, you filthy piece of shit,” Azriel spitted his words in anger. He turned to
Markus and Anton. “I will make sure he faces what he deserves for his actions. My pack has suffered enough because of him.”
Markus placed a hand on Azriel’s shoulder. “I trust you, Azriel. Do what

you must.”
Azriel’s eyes burned with a fierce resolve as he motioned for two of his warriors to take Stone’s
unconscious body away. “We’ll transport him to my pack’s dungeons in full secrecy. There, he will
face the full extent of our wrath and the consequences of his betrayal.”
As they walked down the corridor, Markus turned to Azriel. “Have you considered making a public
example out of Councilman Stone? His crimes are heinous, and his punishment could serve as a
deterrent.”
Azriel shook his head, his expression thoughtful. “In the beginning, I wanted that. I wanted
everyone to see justice being served. But after so many years, I’ve realized that doing so would hurt your reign, the royal family, especially in a delicate time with threats looming around us. Plus, I know that this scumbag has powerful allies that could cause unnecessary issues. The best solution is for him to just… vanish.”
Anton, walking beside them, nodded in agreement. “Thank you, Azriel, for not making everything public. Even if they deserved it, the scandal would harm our pack’s unity and stability.”
Azriel’s eyes softened. “You were a good king, Anton. Our pack and this reign do not deserve the

stain caused by two mad individuals. We need to focus on healing and strengthening our bond, not tearing them apart with scandal.”
Markus sighed in relief. “I appreciate your understanding and restraint, Azriel. Our enemies would love nothing more than to see us divided and weakened. We need to be smarter, more united than
ever.”
As they continued walking, the weight of their decisions pressed on them, but there was also a sense of clarity and purpose.
