A Queen’s Confession-1
Kaia tried to move, dragging herself toward the door, but Queen Tonya kicked her hard in the abdomen, sending her sprawling back. The pain was searing, but Kaia fought to stay conscious, her mind racing. The Queen lunged at her, and they began to struggle for the dagger. The fight was intense, filled with raw desperation on both sides. Kaia’s grip was ironclad, but as another wave of pain wracked her body, the Queen managed to snatch the dagger from her.
“You damn Storms! You just don’t want to die! Just like your entire family! You are like
cockroaches, surviving and surviving,” Queen Tonya spat, her voice dripping with venom. “All of you believe that you are high and mighty with your wealth and family name. You are nothing. You all
deserve to die.”
Kaia was in shock, momentarily forgetting the physical pain. The hatred in the Queen’s eyes was palpable. “What the hell is wrong with you?” Kaia screamed, her voice breaking with the intensity of
her emotions.
The Queen approached her, dagger in hand, and said something that shattered Kaia’s world.
“Finally, I will get rid of you today in the same way that I got rid of your parents.”
It felt like a punch to the gut, and Kaia struggled to breathe, while everything was rotating around
her. “The hell you will!” she screamed, gathering her last reserves of strength. “What will Markus
say when he discovers you killed his mate?”
Tonya laughed, a diabolical sound that chilled Kaia to the bone. “Markus will have no idea.
Accidents and assassins happen, and with identical dresses, it will be clear that someone tried to
assassinate me and got you by mistake.”
Kaia’s eyes widened in horror. “So this was your plan from the very beginning? No one will believe
this,” she protested, her voice shaking.
“They will with the wound in my leg,” the queen said, her tone triumphant. “Everyone will believe, you stupid girl. Now die once and for all.”
With that, Tonya raised the dagger to stab Kaia. Time seemed to slow as Kaia’s survival instincts kicked in. Summoning every bit of strength, she kicked out at the Queen’s injured leg. Tonya screamed in pain, stumbling backward and dropping the dagger. Kaia lunged for it, her body screaming in protest, but she managed to grasp the handle.
Before Tonya could react, Kaia drove the dagger into her thigh, the blade sinking deep into the muscle. The Queen screamed again, a sound of pure agony, and fell to the floor, clutching her leg. Kaia stood over her, panting heavily, the adrenaline coursing through her veins.

A Queen’s Confesson 1
“You will never hurt my family again,” Kaia said, her voice trembling but resolute, before dropping on her knees as she hugged her painful abdomen, while waves of pain were slashing her body. “You will never hurt anyone again.”
At that moment, the doors burst open, and Markus, flanked by guards and Lora, rushed in. They froze at the sight of Kaia and the fallen Queen. Markus’s eyes widened in horror and confusion.
“Kaia! Mother! What happened?” he shouted, rushing to her side.
Kaia dropped the dagger from her hand and collapsed into Markus’s arms, her strength finally giving out. “She tried to kill me,” she whispered, tears streaming down her face. “She tried to kill our baby.”
After Kaia mentioned that the Queen tried to kill their baby, Markus stood frozen in place, shock etched across his face. “What are you talking about? What baby?” he asked, his voice trembling with disbelief. Before he could say more, Kaia screamed again, waves of agony coursing through her body.
“She is lying. She is trying to deceive you, my son! You deserve better!” Queen Tonya shouted in desperation, but she was ignored by Markus as all his focus was on Kaia who was trashing in pain.
Lora’s doctor training kicked in instinctively. She knelt beside Kaia, placing her hands on her abdomen. A white light emanated from her hands as she tried to alleviate Kaia’s pain and try to diagnose what the issue was. Moments later, Lora shouted, “Azriel! I need Azriel now! I can’t do it by myself!”
Markus, his mind racing with panic, issued a general mind link, urgently calling for his entire pack members. “Guide now Alpha Azriel urgently to my location in the Blue Altar. It’s a life and death
situation!”
