Girls Talk-1

When the helicopter landed at the royal castle, Lora and Azriel were warmly received by Markus and Kaia. The four of them shared a heartfelt embrace, the relief and camaraderie evident in their gestures. “Welcome,” Markus said with a smile. “We’re so glad you’re here.”
Kaia added, “We’ve prepared a room for you to refresh and rest. If you feel up to it, you can join us for dinner with everyone else. If not, don’t hesitate to ask for room service.”
“Thank you for the ride,” Azriel smiled in Markus’ direction with a smile.
Lora and Azriel thanked them and were led to their room. After a rejuvenating shower and a change of clothes, Azriel turned to Lora. “What do you want to do, my dove? Should we rest here, or join them for dinner? It is totally up to you and how you are feeling.”
Elora, feeling a sense of duty and not wanting to appear ungrateful, replied, “It would be rude of us to remain in the room. Let’s go for dinner.”
Soon, they arrived in the dining hall, where the royal family and some court members were already seated. Markus greeted them warmly, standing to make introductions. “Everyone, this is Alpha Azriel Storm and his mate, Luna Lora.”
There was a chorus of greetings, though Elora could feel some scrutinizing looks directed their way. They took their seats, and the former king, Anto, leaned forward to speak to Azriel. “How are you, Azriel?”
Azriel smiled, engaging in the usual pleasantries. “I’m well, thank you. It’s good to see you, King
Anto.”
Markus then addressed the table, his tone appreciative. “Because of Azriel’s intervention, everyone in the Black Forest pack was healed, along all the other packs. I can finally announce officially that the infections have been contained and eradicated, at least for the moment.”
There were murmurs of curiosity and some skeptical glances. Queen Tonya, unable to contain her curiosity, asked bluntly, “How so?”
Azriel’s eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze growing cold as he looked at her. “Because my Luna is the
bearer of the Goddess’s Gift.”
There was a collective intake of breath around the table. Azriel hadn’t initially intended to disclose this, but each time he visited, he felt something off with the Queen. Till now, he had chosen to ignore it for the sake of his friendship with Markus, but her persistent scrutiny made him uneasy.
Tonya’s eyes widened, and she seemed momentarily taken aback. “The Goddess’s Gift?” she

repeated, her voice tinged with disbelief and something else Azriel couldn’t quite place.

“Yes,” Azriel replied, his tone firm. “Lora has the ability to heal, a gift bestowed upon her by the Goddess.”
The room fell silent, the weight of his words settling over the gathering. Everyone knew that there was someone with this gift, but till now the identity of this person remained hidden. Lora felt the intensity of their stares, but Azriel’s steady presence beside her provided comfort.
Markus, sensing the tension, stepped in. “It’s true. Lora’s gift has saved many lives, and we are grateful for her abilities. Please, let’s enjoy this meal together.”
The dinner proceeded, though the initial shock and curiosity lingered in the air. Azriel kept a watchful eye on everyone, especially on Queen Tonya, his instincts on high alert.
After the meal, Lora and Azriel excused themselves from the dining hall, exchanging polite farewells with the gathered nobles and royal family members. They walked through the grand corridors of the castle, the weight of the evening’s revelations and tensions still lingering in the air.
Once inside their assigned chamber, Lora let out a deep sigh, feeling the exhaustion of the past few days catching up with her. Azriel noticed and immediately wrapped his arms around her, kissing her temple gently. “You did wonderfully tonight,” he whispered, his voice a soothing balm to her frayed nerves.
Lora leaned into his embrace, allowing herself a moment of vulnerability. “It’s just… overwhelming. I honestly don’t know how your sister can take all this pressure and scrutiny. It is just insane!” she admitted. “Even though I knew people would react, I wasn’t prepared for the intensity of their stares and questions.”
