Revelations and Delusions-1
The news of Luna Lora being the Goddess’s Gift spread like wildfire through the Black Forest Pack. Whispers filled the air, shock and disbelief present in every conversation. Those who had been involved in the day they threw her body into the frozen river felt a creeping fear engulfing them. Their memories of that day were now haunted by the realization of what they had done.
But the most shocked and delusional of them all was Alex. When he heard the news, he stood frozen in place, his hand trembling. His mind raced, trying to process the gravity of the revelation. He turned to his father, his voice shaking, “I made a mistake. Elora was the right Luna for me. I was just blind. It was all Alena’s fault, she tricked me into rejecting my true mate.”
His father, Alpha Ben, looked at him with a mixture of concern and exasperation. “Stop this, Álex. She is marked and mated with someone else, and she’s pregnant on top of that.”
Alex’s eyes gleamed with a fanatical light. “You don’t see, Father. This is a sign from the Goddess. With Elora as Luna of our pack, everyone will respect and fear us,” he continued, his voice growing
more fervent with each word.
Alpha Ben’s concern deepened as he listened to his son’s rant. “You need to let this go, Alex. It’s not going to happen. Alpha Azriel Storm is not someone you can just push aside.”
Alex’s expression hardened with determination. “I will get her back, no matter what,” he declared.
Left alone, Alpha Ben turned to his mate, Luna Claire, seeking her counsel. “What should we do? He
is delusional!”
Claire’s worry mirrored his own. “He can’t measure up to someone like Alpha Azriel. He’ll get
himself killed.”
“I know. I tried speaking with him, but he is blind to reality,” Alpha Ben replied, his voice heavy with
concern.
The next morning, when Lora woke up, she again found a huge bouquet of roses on the table in her room. A small note accompanied the flowers, simply stating they were for her. She smiled, thinking how romantic Azriel was, as during the entire week she received flowers every day. Her wolf, Tara,
shared her sentiment.
As she made her way to breakfast, she tried to ignore the curious and wary looks of the pack
members. Before reaching the dining hall, she was intercepted by Alex.
“Hello, Elora,” he said, blocking her path.
Lora looked at him with a blank expression, trying to bypass him.

“Can we talk, please” Alex pleaded with her.
“There’s nothing to talk about, Alex,” she said firmly.

But Alex insisted, his voice insisting, “I was a fool, Elora. It was Alena’s fault that I rejected you. I was a blind man, but now I see the truth. You are my fated mate, Elora, and I will fight for our bond. We belong together!”
Lora stared at him in disbelief. “You’re delusional, Alex. There is no bond between us, you broke it when you rejected me. And don’t try to shift the blame entirely onto someone else. Both of you are guilty.”
Alex’s desperation was palpable. “Please, Elora. I can make it right. We can be together, as it was fated by the Moon Goddess!”
Lora’s eyes flashed with anger. “You made your choice, Alex. You chose Alena over me, and now you have to live with the consequences. I have a mate. I am with Azriel, and I am happy. Accept it
and move on.”
Alex’s face twisted with frustration and pain. “But you belong here, with me, with our pack.”
“No, Alex, Lora said, her voice steady. “I belong where I am respected and loved, and that is with
Azriel. This pack lost the right to claim mê a long time ago when you condemned me to death and
threw me in a frozen river. You did not even give me the chance to defend myself, to hear my side of the story.”
