The Breaking Point-2

With that, Elora turned and walked away, Azriel following closely behind. The hallway was left in

stunned silence, the weight of her words hanging heavily in the air.

Once inside their room, Azriel enveloped Elora in his arms, kissing her temple gently. “I’m so proud of you, my dove,” he murmured, his voice filled with affection and admiration.

As the adrenaline from the confrontation left her, Lora’s body was overcome with exhaustion. She felt a strange mix of relief and satisfaction, knowing she had finally put them in their place. The weight of their entitlement and arrogance had been lifted off her shoulders, if only for a moment. She looked up at Azriel, her eyes filled with a fire that had been kindled anew.

“They think they can act entitled? Think again. I will not put up with their bullshit anymore,” she

declared firmly.

With those words, she climbed into bed, sinking into the soft pillows and blankets. Azriel watched her, his heart aching with both pride and concern. He joined her, wrapping his arms around her, and soon Lora was fast asleep, the tension of the day finally giving way to the comfort of Azriel’s

embrace.

In the hallway outside the infirmary, Alpha Ben and Beta Graham stood frozen, the gravity of Elora’s revelation slowly sinking in. The idea that Elora, the quiet and shy omega they had once known, was the Goddess’s Gift was almost incomprehensible.

“How is this possible?” Graham muttered, his voice barely a whisper. “She was just an omega… she

He had initially believed their predicament was due to the fallout with the Werewolf King and the fiasco with Alena, but now, understanding that Elora was the true healer, everything made sense.

He turned to his old friend, the realization dawning on him. He patted Graham’s shoulder, his voice heavy with regret. “I am as shocked as you, as she never showed any signs of being extraordinary. Actually, I’m surprised she came at all. We were the ones who killed her, Graham. We punished and let an innocent girl die, and now we are expecting her to help us? I’m actually surprised she’s helping us at all.”

Graham’s face was a mix of shock and shame. The weight of their past actions bore down on him, the realization of their grave mistake settling in. He had spent years blaming others, the rogues, and the entire world for their problems, but now, faced with the truth, he saw his own role in the tragedy. He realized in shock that now his mate’s life was in the hands of the person that they

condemned to death.

The silence between them was heavy, the echoes of Elora’s words reverberating in their minds.

They had condemned her, driven her to the brink, and now she was the only one who could save

them. The irony was not lost on them.

“What should we do now?” Beta Graham asked, suddenly looking older by 10 years than his usual

self.

After a pause, his friend Ben replied, “Now, we will wait and pray to the Goddess for forgiveness
