Revelations and Delusions-2
She pushed past him, heading toward the dining hall. Alex stood there, his mind a whirl of emotions, his heart aching with regret and longing. He watched her go, knowing deep down that he had lost her forever, but still the determination burned in his soul. She was his! The Moon Goddess paired them for a reason, and he would make sure that they would be together, no matter the risks.
In the dining hall, Azriel noticed the tension in Lora’s shoulders as she entered. He stood up, pulling out a chair for her, and gave her a reassuring smile. “Everything okay?” he asked softly.
Lora nodded, though her eyes betrayed a flicker of lingering anger. “Just dealt with an old ghost,” she said, sitting down.
Azriel reached for her hand under the table, giving it a comforting squeeze. “Remember, you are not alone. We face these ghosts together.”
Lora smiled, the warmth of his touch grounding her. She took a deep breath, ready to face another day, knowing that whatever came her way, she had the strength to overcome it with Azriel by her
side.
After breakfast, Lora turned to Azriel, determination etched in her features. “I’m ready to go to the infirmary,” she stated firmly.
Azriel looked at her with concern. “Are you sure? You don’t need more time to recover? How are you feeling?”
Lora shook her head. “We’ve been here for a week, longer than I ever estimated. I just want to finish my job here and be on our way home.”
Azriel nodded in support, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as they made their way to the infirmary. When they arrived, they saw Alpha Ben and Beta Graham waiting outside the door. Before Lora could open the door, her father stepped forward, his voice desperate and pleading.
“Please help her, Elora. I’m begging you. She is everything to me. Please, show us mercy. I know we were blindsided, but she is your mother.”
Lora looked at him with an unmovable expression, though inside she was burning with rage. Her voice was cold as ice when she replied, “I have no parents, Beta Black. Please step aside.”
Her father froze, shock evident on his face as he took in her cold tone and the powerful aura she
projected. He watched in stunned silence as Lora and Azriel entered the infirmary.
Once inside, Lora took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm inside her. She approached another

infected person, her hands steady despite the turmoil in her heart. She healed a few more, feeling
the strain but pushing through.
With Azriel’s support, she managed to heal every pack member who had been infected. The only person left in the infirmary was her mother, Ava. Compared to yesterday, Ava’s condition had worsened significantly. Her body was frail, her breath shallow, and her eyes filled with a mixture of fear and regret, especially when she saw Lora in the infirmary that she was the healer.
Taking a deep breath, Lora took a few hesitant steps toward her mother. Azriel, sensing her
internal struggle, wrapped his arms around her, his voice gentle but firm. “Close your eyes and try to focus and control your emotions, my dove. You need to learn to control your Omega Fury.”
Lora closed her eyes, feeling the yellow and red energies inside her intertwining. She took a moment to center herself, calling upon the yellow light, the healing energy that had saved so many.
But as she extended her hand toward Ava, her mother jerked away, “Don’t touch me,” Ava cried out,
her voice breaking.
Azriel stepped forward, his tone soothing yet authoritative. “Beta Black, she’s your only chance to
be saved.”
Ava’s eyes filled with tears as she glared at Lora. “Maybe I do not deserve to be saved,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion, as tears filled her eyes!
Lora clenched her fists, her patience wearing thin. “Stop with the drama and let me finish my job,
so I can leave this place,” she snapped, her voice cold. But Ava thrashed again, her body convulsing with the weight of her guilt. “I have to repent for my sins, I deserve this,” she blurted out, her voice
a tortured wail.
In her rambling, Ava revealed something that stopped both Azriel and Elora in their tracks. “This is
why I met with your sister, Alena, two days ago.”
The room fell silent, the weight of Ava’s confession hanging heavy in the air. Azriel’s eyes narrowed
in suspicion. “You met Alena? Outside the pack?”
Ava nodded, her voice barely a whisper. “Yes. I met her in front of a bar, trying to convince her to
seek forgiveness and I told her that you are here and alive! She hugged me, and then she told me that maybe there is a way.”
Azriel approached her, his demeanor calm, but his eyes sharp with intent.
“Beta Ava,” he said softly, “I need to ask you something important.”
Ava’s eyes fluttered open, and she looked at him with a mixture of wariness and fatigue. “Yes,
Alpha Azriel?”

Ava nodded slowly. “Yes, it was just outside the pack’s border. I wanted to talk to her, to convince her to seek forgiveness.”
Azriel’s eyes narrowed. “And after you returned to the pack, you became sick. Did you interact with anyone else before you started feeling unwell?”
Ava shook her head. “No, I went straight back. As soon as I crossed the border, I started feeling
sick, and I saw the black veins.”
Azriel turned to Lora, he mind linked her, his thoughts urgent. “Let me guess, your sister has black hair, blue eyes, and striking features?”
Lora’s heart skipped a beat. She looked at Azriel, her eyes wide with fear and realization. “Yes…
but…”
Azriel nodded, his expression grim. “It’s too much of a coincidence, don’t you think?”
Elora’s mind raced, piecing together the fragments of the puzzle. “You think Alena had something to
do with this?”
Suddenly, an alarm started to ring loudly, surprising everyone as Ava whispered between her lips,”
We are under attack!”
