Revelations and Regrets-1

The atmosphere in the Black Forest Pack’s dining hall was tense, the weight of recent events hanging heavily over the assembled members. The table was set with an impressive spread of food, yet there was a noticeable absence. Alpha Azriel and Luna Elora had not joined the group. their absence casting a shadow over the evening.

Alpha Ben, sensing the unease, cleared his throat and addressed Delta Tim, who was barely

concealing his passive-aggressive demeanor. “Is there a reason why Alpha Azriel and Luna Lora

declined our invitation this evening?” he asked, trying to maintain a neutral tone.

Tim’s lips curled into a thin, sarcastic smile. “Luna Elora is not feeling too well.”

Before Alpha Ben could respond, Alex interjected, his concern obvious in his voice. “If she’s not

well, perhaps we can offer her access to our pack doctor or provide any medicine she might need

Tim’s smile turned mocking. “How generous of you.”

Alpha Ben shot a harsh look at his son, cutting off any further comments. “Luna Lora will receive whatever she needs,” he said firmly, attempting to defuse the situation.

The tension was thick in the air when Alpha Azriel suddenly entered the room, his presence

commanding immediate attention as he interrupted the strange tense atmosphere. “What my

mate needs is a mint tea and some toast, please,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

“Of course,” Alpha Ben replied quickly, signaling an omega to prepare the requested items. “Is

everything alright, Alpha Azriel?” he asked, trying to gauge the situation.

Azriel looked at him with a blank, intimidating expression before responding, “Yes, my mate is a bit

unwell, but it’s nothing to concern you with.”

Alex, unable to suppress his worry and willing to display his good intentions, spoke up again.

“Maybe we should call the pack doctor, just to be sure.”

Azriel’s eyes narrowed slightly as he addressed Alex directly. “Her unwellness is normal for her

condition.”

“Her condition?” Alex asked, his heart pounding in his chest.

Azriel’s gaze remained steady. “Yes, her condition. Considering that she is pregnant, and her

appetite can be quite sensitive.”

The room fell into stunned silence. The news hit Alex like a physical blow, the revelation that Elora

was carrying Azriel’s child piercing through him. He felt as though he had been stabbed in the heart, the pain of his loss becoming even more acute.

“Now, if you may excuse me, I have a mate to return to,” Azriel, satisfied that his point had beer/ made, turned and made his way back to the bedroom, leaving behind a room full of shocked faces.

Alpha Ben, trying to regain his composure, addressed the room. “Let’s focus on our meal and ensure that our guests have everything they need.”

The rest of the dinner passed in a strained silence, each member of the Black Forest Pack lost in their own thoughts. Alex, his mind reeling from the revelation, could barely touch his food. His father’s earlier words echoed in his mind.

Alex was not the only one profoundly affected by Azriel’s shocking revelation. Ava and Graham Black, the Beta couple, were equally stunned. Seeing Elora earlier that day had been like witnessing a ghost from their past. At first, they could hardly believe their eyes. But as the reality of her presence settled in, they were left at a loss for how to react. The fact that Elora had not even spared them a glance spoke volumes about her feelings towards them, and they knew that they could not blame her.

Once back in the privacy of their home, Ava and Graham try to recover from the shock. For years, they had believed in the righteousness of their judgment against Elora. They had often wondered how the Moon Goddess could punish them so severely, by making their daughter an omega and leading them to believe she had betrayed the pack by siding with rogues. But after King Markus’s visit and the revelation that Alena, their precious daughter, had been at the core of an extensive deception, their world had been turned upside down.

Despite the damning proof, Ava had initially refused to believe that her dear Alena was capable of such cruelty. Yet, when Alena showed her true colors, the shock was indescribable. They had realized, in horror, that they had condemned an innocent person, that they had sentenced their daughter Elora to death based on lies. This realization took a tremendous toll on them and their

relationship, leading to constant blame and recrimination.
