The Fall of the Black Forest Pack-2

Then, just as the situation became desperate with hundreds of infected members clinging to life, the long awaited convoy arrived. On the previous evening when his phone rang, and he spoke to King Markus, a big weight was lifted from his chest when he finds out that, finally, the Goddess Gift

will grace them with her presence.

The next day, the pack members, weary and on the edge of hopelessness, watched with a mixture of relief and apprehension as the vehicles approached. Alpha Ben stood at the forefront, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and hope.

From the leading vehicle emerged Alpha Azriel, a figure of both awe, respect and fear. Aside from being good friends with the King, Azriel was known for being someone firm and ruthless.

But what truly stunned the pack was the sight of his Luna stepping out beside him, Elora, the girl they all had believed was dead. Gasps and whispers spread through the gathered pack members as they struggled to comprehend the sight before them.

The rumours spread across the packs that Alpha Azriel had a Luna and a son that he kept hidden till then, to everyone’s shock, as for so many years Azriel was the target of many families that he could be their daughters’ mate. But not even in their wild dreams, no one imagined that his Luna

was their former pack member.

Alex stood next to his father in front of the gathered pack, his heart pounding in his chest as he watched the convoy arrive. The tension in the air was palpable, and his beast, the primal side of his nature, roared with an agitation he hadn’t felt in months. As Alpha Azriel stepped out of the vehicle, Alex’s focus was solely on him until he saw her. Elora. His first mate.

She was alive.

Alex felt his breath catch in his throat. They had all believed her dead, a victim of their own

misguided justice. But there she stood, more beautiful than ever, beside Alpha Azriel. The sight of

her was like a miracle, a piercing ray of light in the darkness that had enveloped his soul. His shock

was compounded by the revelation that she was the elusive Luna of Alpha Azriel. It was a truth

that struck him like a dagger to the heart, the pain searing through him.

The moment was surreal, his mind struggling to reconcile the image before him with the reality he had come to accept. His beast inside him was aflame, driven by a potent mix of disbelief, regret, and an unquenched longing, pushing him to go to her. The threats issued by Alpha Azriel did nothing to quell the fire within him; instead, they only fanned the flames of his agitation.

As the visiting delegation moved inside, Alex turned towards his father and mother, his eyes wide with disbelief. His father’s voice, sharp and authoritative, pierced through his tumultuous thoughts

via their mind link. “Control yourself, Alex. Do not make a scene. Come to my office. Now.”

Once inside the office, the tension that had been simmering within Alex erupted. “Father… she is alive… my mate is alive!” he exclaimed, his voice filled with a mixture of wonder and desperation.

His father, Alpha Ben, was massaging his temples, his face a mask of fury and frustration. “She is not your mate anymore, Alex. You lost the privilege to call her that when you chose her own sister

Alena over her.”

Alex’s eyes blazed with defiance. “I was a fool, but now I have a chance to make things right. I will

win her back.”

His father’s gaze hardened, a warning clear in his eyes. “She is with Alpha Azriel now. Do not challenge him, Alex, as he is not someone to be trifled with. You will only bring more disgrace upon

our pack.”

But Alex, driven by a renewed sense of purpose and the undeniable pull of the mate bond, shouted “I will fight for her! I will get her back no matter what.”

Alpha Ben slammed his fist on the desk, his voice cold and stern. “You will do no such thing. Your actions have already caused enough harm. We must respect her choice and her new life. We lost any privileges and rights the moment that we rejected her, banished her and left her for dead.”

Alex felt a tumult of emotions crashing over him, but the image of Elora, alive and standing strong, fueled his resolve. “I can’t just let her go,” he said, his voice breaking. “I have to try. I have to make

amends.”

His father’s expression softened slightly, a hint of sorrow in his eyes. “I understand your feelings, Alex, but this is a situation that requires wisdom and restraint. Do not let your emotions cloud your judgment. Learn from your past mistakes”

As Alex left his father’s office, his heart was heavy with conflicting emotions. The sight of Elora, the reality of her presence, and the knowledge of her bond with Alpha Azriel all weighed on him. But beneath the turmoil, a single, burning determination remained: he would fight for her, no

matter the cost.

With a determined voice, he told his wolf, “No worries, we will get our Luna and mate back, even if it

will be the last thing we will do in his life!”
