Desperation-1

Dana, Lora, and Azriel paled at the news, their faces drained of color as the weight of Stephan’s influence settled heavily upon them. Before they had a chance to speak to each other, a vampiress appeared in the doorway after Stephan’s departure, her presence suffocating and oppressive. She
sneered at Dana with a menacing look.
“Move, slave. You heard my brother’s words,” the vampiress hissed. It was Vica, Stephan’s sister,
known for her cruelty and ruthlessness.
Dana’s face became like stone, but inside, she was trembling with terror. In the last few days, she had allowed herself to dream and hope that maybe there was a way out, but now, being back in her captor’s clutches, she realized there was no escape. Before anyone could say anything, she bent her head in submission, saying, “Yes, Mistress,” before making her way to her room.
Once inside, she looked around with a lost expression. The walls seemed to close in on her, and she felt as if she couldn’t breathe. Tears flowed down her face as she knew, right then and there, that this was the end for her. At least she had been blessed to experience true love, if only briefly,
in this lifetime.
She made her way towards one of her cabinets and pulled out a small box from behind a bunch of clothes. When she opened it, inside was a small revolver and next to it were four special bullets, designed by hunters to kill her kind. Dana purchased this weapon year ago, after one of the most severe abuse that she experienced, but at the last moment something stopped her from using it and taking her own life.
She touched the box with trembling hands, knowing that she could not serve Stephan ever again. The thought of what this would do to Tim, the pain it would cause him and the damage it would do to their bond, was almost too much to bear.
As she held the revolver, memories of her time with Tim flashed through her mind, their passionate nights, the tender moments, the way he looked at her with so much love. She clutched the weapon tighter, tears streaming down her face. She didn’t want to leave him, didn’t want to cause him pain, but she saw no other way out. She knew that Lora, Tim and Alpha Azriel searched a way out for her, as she was grateful to them for all their efforts. Despite being a total stranger to them, they treated her with respect and warmth, which she had never got the chance to experience till now.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Dana quickly hid the box back in the cabinet and wiped her tears. The door creaked open, and Lora stepped in, her face filled with concern.
“Dana, we need to talk,” Lora said softly.
Dana nodded, trying to compose herself. Lora walked over to her and took her hands, squeezing

“I know it’s hard,” Lora said, her voice soothing. “But we are not giving up on you. We will find a way to get you out of here.”
Dana shook her head, her voice barely a whisper. “There is no way out, Lora. Stephan… Vica… They will never let me go.”
Lora’s eyes filled with determination. “We will find a way,” she repeated. “Azriel and I, we are not leaving without you. We will fight for you, Dana. You are not alone in this.”.
“Lora, I can’t serve Stephan again,” Dana said, her voice breaking. “I can’t go back to that life. It
would kill Tim.”
Lora pulled her into a tight embrace. “You won’t have to,” she promised. “We will figure this out.
Together.”
While Dana and Lora were talking in her room, the door suddenly opened without a knock. Stephan
himself entered, closing the door behind him with an ominous click. Dana’s eyes widened in terror,
while Lora looked at him in surprise.
Stephan sneered in their direction, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “What a warm scene. How touching. It seems that my pet has been unruly, getting attached to someone else during my absence. Luna Lora… hmm… interesting. I believe you should leave to your allocated room… now.”
