Desperation-2
Lora stood her ground, refusing to leave. “I have something to discuss with warrior Dana in
private.”
Stephan laughed coldly. “Do not take me for a fool.” He made his way towards Dana, and before she could react, he grabbed her by the back of her hair, pulling her close. He took a long breath then sneered, “You reek of that mutt you call a mate. It seems some discipline is in order. Luna
Lora, it’s time for you to leave…now.”
Lora’s face hardened with resolve. “I am not going anywhere.”
Stephan’s eyes gleamed with malice as he laughed. “Suit yourself.” He backhanded Dana, sending her sprawling to the floor with a split lip bleeding. Lora screamed, “Stop it!”
Stephan turned to her with a murderous look. “Luna Lora, as long as you are on vampire land, you follow vampire rules. Dana is my property, my pet, and I can do whatever I want with her. Now get out or enjoy the show, your choice.” He approached Dana with predatory steps.
Something snapped inside Lora. A red haze clouded her vision as Stephan grabbed Dana by the neck, lifting her. Ready to strike again, he was caught off guard as Lora rushed towards them, pressing her hands against his chest trying to push him away. A sudden red light flared from her hands, like burning Stephan. He staggered back, as if electrocuted.
“What the hell did you do, you fucking bitch?!” he snarled with a poisonous voice.
To everyone’s horror, black veins started spreading all over Stephan’s body. He fell to his knees, writhing in agony, as he started to scream in a horrified voice, in agony. The veins thickened and darkened, covering him completely before he collapsed in a horrific episode, his life force extinguished.
Lora stood in shock, her hands trembling. Dana looked up at her savior with a mix of fear and awe. Lora took a step back, her breathing ragged, as the reality of what just happened began to sink in.
Azriel burst into the room, his eyes wide with alarm. “What happened? I could feel your distress through the mate bond!” he demanded as he looked with a shocked expression at Stephan’s dead
body.
Lora turned to him, her voice shaky. “I… I don’t know. He was hurting Dana, and I… I just reacted. I
believe I killed him…”
Azriel glanced at Stephan’s lifeless body, then at Dana, who was struggling to breath, still in shock. “We need to get out of here, now,” he said, his tone urgent. “This place will be swarming with vampires any minute.”

+25 Point Dana took a deep breath, her resolve hardening as she spoke. “No, we can’t just leave. We need to
notify the vampires and tell them that Stephan succumbed to the pandemic infection. We’ll say
that we tried to save him, but he was one of the critical cases who hid the disease until it was too
late.”
Azriel and Lora exchanged glances, then nodded in agreement. “Alright,” Azriel said. “Let’s do it,
They quickly alerted the vampires that something had happened to Stephan. Within moments, the coven was in an uproar, with vampires hissing in shock and pain as they gathered around Stephan’s lifeless body. Vica, leading the group, approached Dana with a menacing look, her eyes
burning with fury.
“You killed my brother! I will kill you for this, you despicable creature,” Vica hissed, raising her hand
to strike Dana.
Before she could make contact, Azriel stepped forward, his voice firm. “Stop! She might be infected as well. She did not kill anyone. All of us were talking with Stephan when he suddenly collapsed in pain. No one could save him. It seems he was hiding the disease for some time.”
Vica sneered, her anger palpable. “I don’t believe you. I will call Layzal and let him decide on this. I suspect foul play. And if any of you had anything to do with my brother’s death, you will be executed on the spot. This I can guarantee you, starting with this useless pet creature.”
