My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 436

Seraphina knew Zeke and Mina were burning holes into her back with their stares.

She calmly unwrapped the filthy rags, peeling away the crushed herbs to expose the wound underneath.

The moment she saw the shape of the injury, her pupils dilated.

This was absolutely not a bear attack.

It was a gunshot wound!

"Doctor. Can he be saved?"

Seraphina suddenly felt a hard, metallic object press sharply against her lower back. Zeke's voice, entirely devoid of warmth, floated over her shoulder.

Panic clawed at her throat, but she forced her spine straight and maintained her composure. She pointed at the man's shoulder. "This is a gunshot wound. Has the bullet been removed yet?"

Zeke stared at her, a dark smirk pulling at his lips. "No."

If he had the nerve to dig it out himself, Victor wouldn't be slipping into a coma.

Seraphina kept her tone clinical. "The bullet has to come out immediately. Then the wound needs to be sterilized, and he needs strong antibiotics. Otherwise, he won't last more than a few days."

Bang! Something heavy slammed onto the wooden table.

Seraphina jumped and looked over. Mina was glaring at her with pure venom. "You little bitch, what kind of garbage are you spouting?"

Seraphina met Mina's furious gaze head-on. "You all know perfectly well whether I'm spouting garbage or not."

"Right now, I am the only one who can save him. If you terrify me into a panic attack, your boss dies. Simple as that."

Seraphina even offered Mina a bold, mocking smile.

Mina's eyes flashed with murderous rage. "You..."

"Mina," Zeke interrupted sharply. "Listen to her."

Mina clenched her fists, let out a furious scoff, and turned her face away.

"Get to work," Zeke ordered, looking back at Seraphina.

Seraphina didn't move a muscle.

"What the hell are you waiting for, bitch?" Mina threatened through gritted teeth. "If you don't start moving, I'll kill you myself!"
