Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 608

Wasn't giving your partner peace of mind the most basic part of a marriage?

Sensing he had overstepped, River immediately flashed a bright smile. "You should definitely text him, then. We wouldn't want him crashing our dinner party trying to track you down..."

He pulled out his phone. "It's settled then. I'll call my mentor right now..."

...

The recording went off without a hitch.

For the finale, all the contestants gave the performances of their lives. The stage production was flawless, the lighting and sound perfectly synced.

By the time the cameras finally stopped rolling, it was past seven in the evening.

Leo was the first to bound off the stage, wiping sweat from his forehead. He yelled at Nora and River, "Let's go! Time to eat! I'm starving!"

River smiled in agreement and turned to Nora. "Let's go, Auntie Nora."

Nora was about to speak when her phone buzzed in her pocket.

It was a text from Hudson.

[Honey, what time does your dinner finish? I'll come pick you up.]

Nora's lips curved upward.

[We just finished shooting and are heading to the restaurant now. Olive is with me, so you don't need to pick me up.]

Less than three seconds later, Hudson replied.

[Don't drink too much. Come home early.]

Nora typed back 'I know!' and slipped her phone back into her pocket, following Leo and River outside.

The production van was waiting in the parking lot. Zachary was already inside.

"Hey, Nora."

"Zachary," Nora greeted him with a warm smile.

"Success really does look good on you. I haven't seen you in a week, and you're glowing even more!"

Nora knew he was just teasing her, though it was true that the show's explosive popularity had skyrocketed her fame.

She could no longer just casually walk down the street without getting recognized and mobbed by fans.

"I'll shout you out on Social Media tomorrow, bring some traffic your way. Give you a taste of the spotlight," she joked back.

"No, please, God no!" Zachary immediately pressed his hands together, begging for mercy. "I take it back, spare me, Nora!"

The ride was filled with lively chatter and laughter.

Soon, the van pulled up to a private club.

Security at the entrance was incredibly strict, meticulously verifying everyone's identity before letting them through.

As soon as they walked in, Nora spotted several familiar faces.

They were all celebrities from the entertainment industry.
