Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 575

Liam stared blankly at the blubbering mess that was Cade.

He had been so arrogant just days ago, but now he was sobbing on the floor, begging for mercy.

"I really know I was wrong. Please, please beg Mr. Lancaster for me. I'll do anything! I'll be his slave if I have to!"

"It's too late."

Liam looked down at him. "You're going to live the rest of your life in regret. Every day, you'll regret what you did, and you'll remember that the Whitman family was destroyed by your hands."

"No... no..." Cade shook his head wildly, reaching out again, but Liam sidestepped him.

"Move out within three days. Otherwise, I'll have you arrested for trespassing."

With that, Liam turned and walked out.

The door clicked shut behind him, cutting off Cade's furious, despairing screams.

"Archer, pull the security footage from the estate and that club. Dig up the entire city if you have to, but find that bastard."

"Understood."

...

Soon after, Liam reported his findings to Hudson.

Hudson was typing away on his laptop, handling business. When he heard Liam's report, his brow furrowed slightly. "Are you telling me no one knows this 'Second Young Master'? And the license plates were fake?"

"...Yes, Boss."

Hudson let out a cold scoff. "Looks like he came prepared. He put a lot of work into this."

Liam pressed his lips together. "What do we do now?"

"Keep digging."

"Yes, sir."

Hudson noticed Liam hadn't hung up. He raised an eyebrow. "What is it? Something else?"

"Boss, do you have any of the medicine Dr. Vane left behind last time?"

"No."

"Then I'll contact him immediately and have him send a few more doses."

"Fine."

After hanging up, Liam dialed Dr. Vane's number.

It rang several times before it connected. The line was filled with the sound of rushing wind. "Hello? Who is this?"

"Dr. Vane, it's Liam Harrison."

"Oh, right! You're that super-rich doctor, right?" Dr. Vane's voice echoed with sudden realization.

Liam remained silent.

He had no idea why he was saved in Dr. Vane's contacts as 'the super-rich doctor.'

It was probably because when he treated Hudson last time, Dr. Vane had only asked for a ten-thousand-dollar fee but ended up walking away with over two hundred thousand.
