Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 485

Night fell.

When Arthur drove the car into the underground garage of Cloudwater Estate, he noticed the vehicle was swaying a bit strangely...

He stood silently by the car for a moment, as if suddenly remembering something, then hurriedly left the garage.

Meanwhile, in the living room, Liam Harrison was waiting anxiously with his medical kit.

Seeing Arthur return alone, he paused, instinctively looking behind him.

"Where is Mr. Lancaster? Why did you come back by yourself?"

"He's with Mrs. Lancaster."

Liam blinked in confusion. "I know they're together, but where are they? Didn't he have another episode? I need to check on him..."

Arthur pressed his lips together, frowning slightly as he looked at Liam.

"No, Arthur, why are you looking at me like that? I'm asking where he is! He..."

Liam stopped mid-sentence, realization suddenly hitting him.

Ah.

He understood now.

"So... does he still need me?"

Arthur frowned deeper. "You're the doctor. You tell me."

"..."

Liam waved his hand dismissively. "Fine. Looks like I won't be needed anytime soon. I'll head out. Call me if anything comes up."

Arthur nodded expressionlessly. "Got it."

Liam immediately grabbed his medical kit and walked out, shaking his head with a chuckle as he left.

Unbelievable.

Absolutely unbelievable.

...

When Hudson carried Nora out of the car, she was completely boneless, melting against him like spun sugar. She buried her face in the crook of his neck, lacking the strength to even lift her arms.

At some point, she had torn open the top three buttons of his shirt, exposing the pale expanse of his chest and a faint, old scar just below his collarbone.

He glanced down at her. Seeing her murmuring softly with her eyes squeezed shut, his lips curved into a faint smile. He carried her straight up to the second floor.

Hudson looked down at the little crown of her head, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly.

"Very beautiful."

Nora unconsciously pursed her lips.

"And then?"

"Her eyes were bright, like they held the stars."

Nora was speechless.

"When she smiled, my whole world lit up."

Nora remained silent.

"Her skin was luminous, her hair was incredibly soft, and she always carried this subtle, sweet scent."

Nora didn't know what to say.

She silently rolled over, turning her back to him and burying her face in the pillow.

Noticing her reaction, Hudson let out a low chuckle. He tightened his arms, pulling her completely flush against him. "No more questions?"
