Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 469

Seraphina sputtered, absolutely breathless with rage.

Olive grimaced in disgust. "Crooked nose, I told you to stop talking."

Driven entirely by blind anger, Seraphina scrambled off the floor and lunged, desperate to claw at Olive's face.

She didn't even get close. A swift kick to her stomach sent her flying across the room, leaving her gasping for air on the floor.

Harrison blanched, terrified by Olive's sheer combat efficiency. "You... you dare attack us again?! I already called the cops!"

Olive offered a wicked smirk, cracking her knuckles as she stepped toward him.

Harrison stumbled backward in a panic. "Stay back... I don't hit women..."

"Hit? You're barely a maggot!"

Olive delivered a decisive kick, sending him sprawling right next to his wife.

Realizing she was no match for the bodyguard, Seraphina directed her wrath back at Nora. "Don't get cocky! We'll see if you're still smiling when the police get here!"

Nora chuckled softly. "Why wouldn't I be smiling? I'm not the one running a smear campaign."

Seeing Nora so utterly unbothered, her bright almond eyes shining like flawless diamonds, pushed Seraphina over the edge.

Seraphina felt a wave of suffocating, irrational jealousy.

Back in college, the boy she had a desperate crush on was obsessed with Nora. Whenever Nora was in the room, no one even glanced in Seraphina's direction!

"Nora, you're nothing but a shameless homewrecker! You spent college seducing every man in sight, and now you're married and still whoring yourself out! Don't think I don't know you slept your way into this director role!"

"And the most pathetic part is your husband! The poor idiot has no idea his wife is public property. You've probably been cheating on him since day one!"

"Who exactly is cheating on who?"

A low, glacial voice echoed from the doorway.

Every pair of eyes snapped toward the entrance.

Hudson Lancaster?

The ruthless billionaire who controlled the entire San Francisco elite?

What... what was he doing here?

"Um, Mr. Lancaster, here is the situation..." Vivienne scrambled to explain. "Our former music director, Harrison, and his wife mistakenly believe he was fired to make room for Nora. It's just a misunderstanding, and we're handling it..."

Before she could finish, Hudson's cool voice sliced through the tension. "I was the one who fired him."

A dead silence fell over the office.

Harrison's expression completely crumpled.

"Mr... Mr. Lancaster... what did you say?"

Hudson lifted his gaze, his eyes icy. "What? Are you deaf?"
