Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 460

"My wife."

Vincent paused mid-motion while lighting his cigarette, raising an eyebrow. "Are you out of your mind? You bring your wife on a business trip?"

Nora was speechless.

She looked at the dozen bodyguards behind Vincent, then back at Hudson, secretly wondering: *Who's the one out of their mind here?*

Hudson let out a cold scoff, tilting his head toward Arthur, Archer, and Olive, who were standing near the door.

"Three against fifteen. Can you handle it?"

Olive's eyes instantly lit up. She flashed a wide grin, showing off two rows of perfectly straight, white teeth. "Hell yeah!"

With just one sentence, the tension in the room skyrocketed.

Vincent raised an eyebrow in surprise, taking the cigarette from his lips to tap the ash with a flick of his finger. "Your temper has really grown over the years, hasn't it, Hudson? Getting physical over a single sentence?"

Hudson took a slow sip of his tea, his tone flat. "What can I say? There are too many people out there who need a good beating to learn their place."

The moment the words left his mouth, Arthur moved!

He slipped effortlessly between the two closest bodyguards—an elbow strike, a knee to the gut, a chokehold, all executed in one flawless, fluid motion.

Before the two men even knew what hit them, they were out cold on the floor.

Archer flanked from the side, moving even faster than Arthur. He specifically targeted their joints. The sickening crunch of dislocated shoulders echoed through the room before the victims could even scream, doubling them over in agony.

Olive was even more ruthless.

She simply grabbed a nearby vase and smashed it right over someone's head. As soon as it shattered, she picked up another one, muttering under her breath, "Damn it, I didn't bring my morning star! These vases don't do enough damage..."

The private room descended into absolute chaos—the sound of shattering porcelain, muffled groans, and agonizing screams all blending together.

Finnian merely held his teacup, taking a calm sip without so much as blinking.

He hadn't expected Hudson to actually throw down.

Even though Vincent's power base was in Chicago, this was Northampton—essentially neutral territory for both of them—and yet they were still willing to clash so aggressively.

Not to mention the Vaughn Family was currently enforcing a tech embargo on microchips. If they tore each other apart like this, the entire tech industry would undoubtedly fracture into absolute warfare.

Suppressing a heavy sigh, Jude stood up with a polished smile. "Mr. Vaughn, today's lunch was supposed to be a farewell for Hudson. How about I treat you to a private dinner some other time?"

Vincent set his teacup down and glanced at him.

The look wasn't particularly hostile, but Jude still felt a chill run down his spine.

Vincent completely ignored Jude's offer. Instead, his gaze landed squarely on Arthur, who was standing quietly in the corner.

After looking the man up and down, he tilted his chin toward Hudson. "Hudson, how much for this bodyguard? Think you can part with him?"
